Everything that I stated....which was denied....I then spent the time to back up with links containing evidence that anybody honest can freely see is undisputable.

If the dishonest wish to continue in their fantasy world then continue on. I just can't be bothered.

Read the links. Read my analysis of them. Then it ought to become clear that what was claimed isn't true. Whilst the events themselves may be undisputable, what they mean and how they are to be interpreted isn't. It's very much more nuanced than the simplistic, black and white, approach being stated.

Here we have yet another example of a conclusion seeking evidence to support it. Rather than an evidence based conclusion.

Putin has chosen to see things this way and has doubtless spread his ideas via social media campaigns into the minds of the gullible who lap up this kind of thing. The kind of folk who support Trump, and continue to pump out conspiracy theories on the web and via videos. Knowing these are the sources used by some posters here for a lot of their, recycled, opinions, it's somewhat sad to see Putin's disinformation surfacing here.

Maybe that quote ought to be displayed outside the Kremlin and on Russian TV?

It's my opinion that those who peddle conspiracy theories claim to know the "truth", when actually all they possess is assertion, confusing what is, at best, an opinion with the truth.

Seeking to undermine their government at a time when what is being done to Ukraine by Putin is being shown in undeniable stark reality is really pretty disgusting.

This is not the time to try to divide and make political gestures. This is a time to unite and defeat a monster who is threatening everyone. Critics included.

Something tells me it'll never be the right time for someone like you.

I make no apology for what is true being stated. I don't make excuses for underhandedness just because it's my side.

When might be the right time is an argument that can be postponed. What is certain is that it isn't now.

There is a huge difference between stating a fact and claiming that a conclusion, drawn from it, other facts and opinions, is the truth. To do so is merely an assertion, and to claim otherwise is an error at best, and "underhand" at worse.

Don't make me laugh.

Putin is part of an international group of criminals who are trying to seize total control of the planet. In the West, we pretend we have democracy, whereas Russia doesn't even bother.

You could see the invasion of Ukraine as a turf war between rival gangs.

Politics is ever increasingly being surreptitiously manipulated and corrupted by dirty money and therefore by the influence of individuals with nefarious motives.

Right now in the West, the average person is not terribly affected by corruption, and that is a position we must protect, even if it means supporting one devil over an even worse one.

Putin is taking a massive risk with what he is doing. Any mistake on either side could trigger WW3 where nobody wins. Having someone who is barely alive in the White House does not make the situation any better. It also doesn't help our efforts to seize the moral high ground when his pals are trying to control our media and cancel opposition opinion.
The treatment of Trump demonstrates that we have never been closer to Russia in how we now manipulate truth.

History of The English Speaking Peoples. A must read, if a little simplistic. Can't help but like Churchill - a bit better than the wet blankets of today.

You certainly make me laugh!

Firstly, because nothing you say above has any connection to my post.

Secondly, because it's a bunch of wild conspiracy theories, worthy of Alex Jones.

Putin is "part of an international group of criminals"? Really? Who are the other members of this "gang"? Blofeld? Goldfinger? Drax? The Joker?

We do have democracy in the west. We just need to protect it and use it. Getting to grips with "dirty money" is never easy but if we don't like the way it's being done we change those who are trying to do it. We have the power. We need to protect those who expose wrong doing and hold politicians to account. Not on their politics but on their standards of honesty and morality.

Rather than just be cynical try being engaged.

Biden is a figurehead. He operates in a collegiate way. Which is much safer than having an autocrat like Trump, who envies and wants to become a dictator like Putin.

No-one is suppressing opinions. All that is ever done is to remove dangerous and misleading statements from privately owned platforms. Which is completely within their rights.

Those dangerous and misleading statements are still available, but you need to go looking for them now. They aren't plastered over places where the vulnerable could be badly influenced.

Trump was given a long line of rope, but decided to hang himself anyway. By repeatedly making false claims he left the platforms no choice other than to remove him.

It is simply unacceptable in a mature democracy to allow disinformation to be circulated and presented as fact. Political opinions are fair enough, however distasteful some might appear to be, but things that cause harm are not.
