Wilf /his agent made a huge mistake allowing the sell-on clause. We are always going to look at it on a net basis, and if 25% is true, it is a vast impediment. I have wondered whether we might have secretly got United to waive it, under strict agreement they keep that private. Then, any prospective buyer has to factor in that we will demand more. I wouldn't sell Wilf for £100m net to us. He could become one of the best players in the world and we have him on a long contract at affordable wages. Chuck him 10m more from the AWB proceeds. Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (29 Jun 2019 10.06am) Agree with you there , you cant just replace that kind of class , id keep him for the remainder of his contract unless we get offered silly money . if his goals and performances are the difference between keeping us up and going down id keep him .
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

And I'm finding it somewhat tedious. Wilf signed a long term contract at top money a year ago and he should honour more of that deal.

Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (29 Jun 2019 10.06am) Maybe we overrate him because of how ordinary the attacking talent is we have around him. It’s odd that “could become one of the best in the world” can’t make the Ivory Coast team over Max Gradel. Don’t especially want to see him go but everybody has their price. Personally think the Arsenal stuff is bollocks. He said he wants CL football and they aren’t in it.

The price of selling Zaha would be a quick return to the Championship. By selling Wan Bissaka we have weakened the team and reduced our chances of survival without Wilf in the future. We need to build a team that makes us less reliant on him and that is clearly not happening.

I think all this speculation is down to Wilf's agent.

By selling Wan Bissaka we have weakened the team and reduced our chances of survival without Wilf in the future. We need to build a team that makes us less reliant on him and that is clearly not happening. We haven’t yet rebuilt or really started building the team without Wilf, because AWB left 2 days ago and Wilf hasn’t been sold so we’ve had no money to rebuild the te team, and Wilf had his worst season until mid April and we had results without him in the team. Apart from that your post is spot on. I agree he’s a big player and there will be some big adjustments that need to be made when he is sold, but sold he’ll have to be because we cannot rebuild the team effectively when he retires or is sold for a small sum in his twilight years, after injuries and/or an unlucky relegation or a combination of all. This is the way for small clubs or anyone smaller than city, Barca or Real Madrid. It’s how you deal with it that it comes down to. These players cannot play forever or stay forever, no matter how upset you are or aren’t looking forward to different football at Selhurst. I’m bored to tears with Roy but I 100% get why we have to watch this or not pay for it and stay away.

I think all this speculation is down to Wilf's agent. Who also happens to be his brother. If the speculation is all down to his agent what is the purpose behind it?

I honestly initially thought you meant maybe we UNDER rate him because of how ordinary his colleagues are. If Wilf goes to Arsenal and steers clear of injuries, he will become a true great for them, scoring and making loads of goals and bringing them the fight they lack. History will remember him as an Arsenal player.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle It likely one day we say goodbye to Wilf again. If it is the arse, and someone has Parish's ear, please do not take Jenkinson as a part payment. They have been trying to get rid for ages and I believe that we have been linked more than once. No-one including the arse seems to want him. Edited by Chubskip (29 Jun 2019 12.12pm)
