Justin Greening to stand down at the next GE.

One down....

Counting the days until Anna Soubry gets hers.

Indeed nothing to hold the rebels back now. As another club's fans say "let em all come down the Den"

Time for MPs to stand up and be counted I would rather face my enemies than have them behind me.

Greening, Clarke, Hammond et al will vote against the government and must face the consequences.

Today's the day.

I am confident that Corbyn will win his vote with the help of about 11 Tory MPs and the rest of the opposition. I actually think that Johnson will be better off losing this vote. If by some miracle he did win it still means that the opposition could continue to come up with other ways to block Brexit which they may win. Time to lance the boil.

Johnson will then ask parliament for a GE on 14 Oct which needs 3/4 of the house to vote for (not abstain).

Corbyn said last night bring it on, he's a Martini boy any time any place, fair enough.

One fly in the ointment some Labour Remain MPs are saying that will only agree to a GE after Oct 31 meaning they want an extension to Jan 21 before they will agree to a GE.

I would be surprised if that is Labour's official policy the whole point of holding the election on Oct 14 is for the public to have their say those who don't support a GE after complaining about democracy being in danger will look rather stupid.

Remain MP’s are worried Boris will move the GE to November 7th after leaving without a deal on 31st October. Trouble is without doing this or the EU facing this as well, we’ll have this keep going on.

Is Conservative perfect pleasurable Putney a remain constituency?

If so, her (planned/threatened) principled resignation holds more weight.

72% remain I think. All concerns and negatives out of sight and mind.

Unbelievable Shami leather the shadow attorney General has just confirmed that Labour will only support a GE post 31 Oct.

So let me get this straight. All those MPs and protesters claiming our democracy is under threat and the poeple must decide, now they have an opportunity to "save" their democracy they don't want it.

You can't make this up.

She also repeatedly claimed Boris was a thug and an young female adviser was marched out of number 10 at gunpoint.

Later she backed down and said it was a policeman, who had a gun.

Pretty bad accusations for any MP to make, crazy coming from the Shadow Attorney General!

There's really no talent in the Labour Party right now.

I would be as well. The GE has to be 14 Oct to allow the new government time to act. I don't believe that Boris would do that and I am sure that guarantees can be given.

Yes Justin Greening is a remain Tory in a remain constituency however at the last GE her majority was just 1,500.

I think she realises that the best case scenario for her is a back bench MP in a Boris government. Worst case she loses her seat. As she was a government minister I suspect she is not interested in being a back bench MP.

Yup agree with most of this. Leaders seize the initiative every time Corbyn makes a move Johnson makes a counter move to put him on the back foot.

Still all to play but right now my money is on Johnson.

Others have worked it out, but opponents of Corbyn within the party are just branded thugs, racist, or war criminals (sometimes this might be true, but it doesn't always discount the point they are making).

I hadn't heard that although I am not surprised this coming from the woman who wrote a whitewash report on anti-Semitism in return for a peerage. I often wondered why the Tory government agreed to her elevation and then I realised it was such an obvious back room favour by Corbyn it destroyed her credibility.

If she had any real political common sense she would have told Corbyn to delay it for 1 year to avoid the elephant trap. Instead she is damaged goods.

Substantially reduced from the General Elections in 2010 and 2015 when she enjoyed majorities of about 10,000 on both occasions.
