JC could win an election on a remain ticket. It would also rule out more referendums. The polls pretty constant with remain at 56%. I would think the fear of a corbyn and his marxist crew in charge trumps the brexit or not debate.

But hasn't JC always wittered on about respecting the result of the referendum, a referendum which 'Leave' won ? Apropos the polls, they had Remain winning the referendum.

To qualify that, I think if only a no-deal is available, then he will go remain. But I may be a MOTD pundit, in which case ignore.

Then we need an investigation into where the other 2% has appeared from

Then we need an investigation into where the other 2% has appeared from I put it down to multi-tasking. Anyway, clearly 3 options wouldn't work. The only only possible option is no deal versus whatever deal Boris comes up with but it's not a good idea as apart from anything else that requires another extension. Got to leave now.

Okay but the Electoral Commission has previously ruled out this type of multiple choice question as too confusing. As they approve the "question" my understanding is that it will have to binary. Now bearing in mind that people complained about the binary question asked in 2016 I think you can multiple those complaints for this type of question. What happens if someone votes Remain and No Deal. I get your frustration it's messy which is why we are where we are today. Edited by Badger11 (02 Sep 2019 3.44pm)

I disagree. It is abundantly clear that the balance of opinion in Parliament is against a no deal Brexit. I don't think Corbyn will decide this, and certainly hope not. I think Blair is right and agreeing to an election would be falling into a trap set by Johnson's strategists. I hope wiser heads in the shadow cabinet and behind the scenes will restrain Corbyn's instincts and personal ambitions. Our sovereignty has never been, and remains, under any kind of threat by being a member of the EU. That's just yet another anti-EU myth. Governments have set the timetable only by conventions granted to them by Parliament. If they abuse that gift then it will be removed from them. If an executive seeks to establish sovereignty over Parliament then it will be treated like the naughty child it seeks to mimic and probably given a "time out". Blair is a criminal and should be seen as such and tried for 'war crimes" As such his thoughts are irrelevant..
