Agree.

Wouldn’t be surprised if nothing else but the extra resources in midfield is at least the most pressing need sorted IMHO.

Far less agitated now was committed to nothing

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Screwing Everton for an inflated fee for JPM would be gratifying; not sure player wise we'd get much more than like for like. It's the investment in enabling dominance to turn into chances (we hope) that's the main thing and as others have said that should make our strikers more prolific.

I have to say, beyond any Palace incomings, Everton selling Gordon and not signing anyone may just be the transfer window I needed for inspiration.

They look to have screwed themselves barring any 12th hour announcements.

I wonder if Andre Ayew will be joining, Everton have denied he's going there, and Forest have no room in their squad.

You're kidding right? They got $40m + for a detestable rat who operates at lower prem level, tops. I'd be laughing all the way home if I were them. Plus they just brought in a good manager who will steer them safe. Happy days if I'm Everton.

I am inclined to disagree.

Have a butchers at BBC and see where even the journalists themselves have mentioned they are overrun with irate texts from Everton fans. The evertonian world is furious and I am inclined, despite sincerely hating them, to empathise with their anger.

Not the most thrilling window but compare it to 2010/11 when we brought in:
Jermaine Easter
Owen Garvan
Stuart O'Keefe
Alex Marrow
Dean Moxey
David Wright
Andy Dorman
& Lewis Price
For a combined total of £250,000.

Sometimes quantity doesn't win.

They may not have done much elsewhere, but I'd happily stand up for Alex Marrow, Stuart O'Keefe, Owen Garvan, Lewis Wright and Dean Moxey. That season after the 2010 buyout when we started with about 7 players was so important. If we'd got relegated we'd never have been seen again and that group, despite limited ability, put in an enormous shift to keep us up.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.

We will shortly see if the two main transfers are good investments.

Next window is the big cheese.....Life beyond Zaha is going to be extremely interesting.

Fingers crossed gentlemen.

We’re not very good at dealing fast.
That looked like it was on a plate.
We could have tried say £15-20m.

Why are we loaning players from other Premier league clubs who if they do well we can't buy?.
