Its time for us as a club to stand on our own two feet. Wilf has carried us for three years and it is time for the prodigal son to go and fulfill his dreams. We can still thrive, there are plenty of Prem teams who do well and don't have Wilf in their ranks. Roy will now have to rebuild the squad with some astute signings, it can be done Absolutely. Well said, my sentiments exactly.

Wilf wants Champions League football. Why then would he join Arsenal, they are not in the Champions league???? Which makes you wonder how much truth there is in the story.

He also wasn’t born before television or any televised football. He supported Arsenal on the tv and probably with mates at school growing up because virtually none of the black youths or any youths support Palace. Arsenal then were popular. That isn’t an opinion. It’s true. Palace took him on and it’s in his heart but he supported Arsenal. Everyone knows he did. Edited by Rudi Hedman (28 Jun 2019 6.52pm) Sorry, made a stupid comment, misread post. As long as Parish allows us to make some astute signings (young hungry players with some top flight experience we will survive. The worry is the money could be wasted or not invested in the right kind of acquisition.

If it's agent talk, to what end? I'm sure that Wilf would like to play in Europe with Palace but he also knows that there only two chances of that happening - little and none

We should seek out the writers of this crud and make them go and watch boring Arsenal all season.

Is that really too far fetched? Yes It is shareholders whether new or existing that have to buy out the existing shareholders and not the club. The best that can happen in this scenario is that the Americans have their loans repaid but as the transfer fee is likely to be paid over more than one year that is also unlikely

Arsenil cant afford that kind of money. I just cant see him going anywhere . In the words of a wise old sage (Donald Trumpet ) Its all fake news .
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Wilf /his agent made a huge mistake allowing the sell-on clause. We are always going to look at it on a net basis, and if 25% is true, it is a vast impediment. I have wondered whether we might have secretly got United to waive it, under strict agreement they keep that private. Then, any prospective buyer has to factor in that we will demand more. I wouldn't sell Wilf for £100m net to us. He could become one of the best players in the world and we have him on a long contract at affordable wages. Chuck him 10m more from the AWB proceeds.
