I'm not sure about Dyche however I am sure about Parish's decision making.

Here's a viewpoint for you:

There was 2 wins between 8th and 17th place in this years premier league, therefore how on earth can you warrant spending an amount on someone "proven" or "next level" over someone "reliable" or "with potential" when there is no guaranteed return!?

A former Manchester United manager just got a club relegated with ease.

Do you see my point?

For me the most important thing has to be getting in a manager who can work with the players we have, as a)they are who have been here long term bringing relative solidarity and b)they are good enough to stay in this division and comfortably so

Like him or not Dyche definitely fits in with the type of manager that would work well with what we have.

Itk Burnley Poster on bbs said that Dyche has NOT spoken to Palace.

Make of that what you will.

He's not allowed to without Burnley's agreement. His agent may have. Same thing to an extent tbf.

I agree with the greasy pole from just under mid table to 18th point.

David Moyes had one player to rely on and if it didn't work you're done and after their mismanagement for years it was time.

Marco Silva had a similarly sh1t team and almost stayed up.

I agree we need a manager who can work with the players.

Is that Dyche? (I have money on him at long odds)

Is that Pellegrino? (I have an equal bet on him too)

Or is it Sammy Lee, who has worked with Pellegrino?

(I had money on Silva at similar odds and stake)

As long as it's not Hodgson, regardless of my bets.

We need a manager who can work with Sammy Lee, (I'm not the first to point this out) and who has a link to the Liverpool set up which might just help with the Sakho situation. Dyche? No!

It would be daft to take chances on an adventurous manager with the squad we have or are likely to have this season. The players have huge potential, but we've seen what happens when things go wrong, and may not get away with it again.

So I hope it's Dyche. He seems a safe pair of hands.

He's not pony - just a little hoarse ;-)

Nice of you to voice your opinion. Off chords he'd be a good choice!

Surely you can't throw money at so many and not lose money?

I drove through a town on the east coast yesterday called Woy Woy, during which an eagle flew above. Sorry lads, there's an omen if I ever saw one.

How many of our managers since promotion produced an England international in 4 years in the top flight. Yet this season Sean dyche has managed to get 2 players in the England squad in keane and heaton. Like a posters pointed out that Burnley was only 6 pts from 8th position Southampton. With our effective wingers and counter attack style, away from home I'm sure he could get them extra points need for a top half finish.

3 possibles and odds much much longer than 2/1. Over double figures actually. If Woy or anyone other than those 3 get it I lose money but I bet quite a bit so it won't lose me sleep.
