It would have been simpler had he said that Campbell's claims have been soundly debunked as complete bollox; Campbell has admitted that he is not a statistician (and thus wondered into areas beyond his ken); and he has quickly sought to remove the film. It would be a shame if the conspiracy brigade or either colour continued to cite a film in support of any argument that its creator has abandoned.

Why is the film still available on his channel then?....just how difficult would it be to delete it?

It would be lovely if Campbell’s claims and the repeated referencing of them here could be simply dismissed in the suggested way. It’s true, they are complete bollox, but he regularly makes similar claims. He uses official statistics and an avuncular style but then makes nods and winks to feed the prejudices of his distrustful audience, whilst raking in a substantial income. Just dismissing them might not be taken seriously. Their frailties need, in my opinion, to be exposed. I am unaware whether he has withdrawn any video. I don’t follow him. I just react to others who do, but even if he has the harm has been done.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

That’s the problem with Spiked! It jumps to conclusions based on the evidence it prefers. We are having an enquiry. That will look at all the aspects and not just those that support any particular POV. Best be patient.

He makes some interesting points. It’s the headline that Spiked put above it which is criticised as it is not what the article says. No article could possibly reach that conclusion with any degree of certainty. That’s why we are having the enquiry. It’s far too complex for any individual, whatever their experience, to be certain about. Indeed I am not sure we will get a definitive answer from the enquiry. More probably a range of options and recommended questions to be determined before one is chosen.
