I thought Roy’s interview just showed him as realist who doesn’t panic when the team has a bad run. We’ve managed some fairly creditable wins against the so called big six since he’s been here often on the back of poor results against lesser teams. All depends how you choose to interpret what he says.

A win and supporters are so elated, indeed relieved, and those in the "Roy Out" camp are not motivated to vent their spleen against him and the style of football. A loss on Tuesday at Newcastle and there will be a great deal of vexation, with Mr Hodgson the subject of much laceration.

I mean, sometimes you play well, try really hard, do whatever you can and still lose. West Ham, Villa style performances completely unacceptable, however.

I think Roy has finally got the message. 4-2-3-1 is the way to go. Bats or JPM up top

Too many people on this site seem to think that if Roy goes in the summer. the new manager will magically be given lots of money to refresh the squad. Do you really see that happening? I don't. If there is a new manager in the summer, it's my belief he'll be expected to work under the same constraints as Hodgson and lump it. The most I expect on the expenditu3e front is one new signing like Eze a year costing no more than £20m. Mateta is probably being lined up for this summer's permanent deal. It is my belief that the club are hoping that Hodgson and any successor can keep the club in the PL on minimal outlays until the Academy starts producing players we can grow and sell on and the new stand is constructed to increase matchday revenue. But then, I do call myself 'Doombear'

It may be slightly off topic but I have just watched the second half at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea ran Burnley ragged playing football that was light years better than under Frank Lampard Was it just a new Manager bounce or was it more to do with Lampard's tactics?

I still want Roy out because one win cannot disguise the last 12 months football.

It was a gutsy 1-0. It makes it far more likely we won't get dragged into the relegation zone. However, it doesn't suddenly mean Roy is great, or the team. We've had abject defeat after abject defeat for a while. Hopefully the rot has stopped, but it doesn't address our basic issues. Not even the issues that exist with Roy, which have now been discussed at length. I think even the most ardent Roy supporters will not want him here next season. I don't: he's done a job, fair play to him, but we still need a shake up. The absolute most that WBA and Fulham can achieve is 35 points and I can't see many of the teams above them overtaking us either on current form, I think Roy is more then aware of how his team has let him down judging by the way he spoke in that interview he sounded quite fed up with them as far as I was concerned, no one has ever mentioned everything is great.
