So what? I am quite sure that such things are sponsored by intelligence agencies around the world, including in the USA. Finding ways of extracting information from enemies of the state who pose a severe threat to life and the security of the nation is part of their remit. That doesn’t mean they are, or were capable of being , involved the recent event. Go away clown you offer nothing

Knowing how to react to this event deserves some thought and time. What must not be forgotten is that behind it all lies one huge fact. Trump is still Trump. The man who tried to overturn democracy. A man completely unsuited to be the POTUS. A man who some believe is a Russian asset. A man I believe to be a threat to the security of the western world. All the euphoria now swirling around cannot change that but it can, and is, obscuring it. If I was his campaign manager writing the script of how to organise events the ones of the past couple of weeks would have been right at the top of my list. Have the Supreme Court announce immunity, have Biden perform badly in the debate, have the Judge in the document trial throw it out, have the Judge in the hush money trial delay sentencing until September. Then survive an assassination attempt, but get bloodied and be photographed in a heroic pose before appearing at the convention. If you were wanting a series of events to hide all the awful behaviour of the past you could hardly have dreamed of these. My wife has little to no interest in, or awareness of, day to day politics. Even she though was aware of this, although not the detail. I discussed it with her this morning and her immediate conclusion was it was fixed, by Trump. Her view being that politics is such a dirty game that people will do anything to get to the top and no series of events could happen like that without them being orchestrated. I don’t agree by the way. Whilst the timing of some may have been engineered, and the motives questionable, I think he has just been incredibly lucky. That he will milk that luck is a forgone conclusion. So how those determined to avoid another 4 years of Trump respond needs some time. The prerequisite seems obvious. Biden must be replaced and a younger, attractive and dynamic fresh face brought in. Someone capable of bringing the focus back onto Trump’s failings and away from his luck, and able to capture the many average voters who like neither Biden nor Trump. Some time is needed, but not too much. Or we will get a disaster in November.

I am a giver, not a taker. I believe in serving others, in trying to make lives a little better if I can. I detest bullies and encourage participative decision making. I try to lead but not to direct unless it becomes essential. I have mellowed as have got older and become more tolerant of many things but less so of a few others. By all means let your sarcasm flow freely. You don’t know me at all. My friends and family do and their opinions are what matter to me. Not those of retrograde doom merchants stuck in a time warp on a football forum. Though to be fair you are better than most here in that regard.
So, just to be clear, although you don’t care about the opinions of the assorted retards and Neanderthals on this football forum, you have nevertheless been inspired to submit more than 17000, yes, seventeen thousand posts in response to same?

There is going to be significant upheveral whoever wins in November because the result isn't going to be accepted by the other side....legitimately or illegitimately. If Trump wins....which is highly probable....there will be riots by the Democrat's foot soldiers. If Trump is assassinated there will probably be some form of civil war or separation. Eventually separation is inevitable in America....I've been saying it for years....I just don't see how the polarisation is ended, it's two political tribes speaking two different languages with little in common.

A serious and probably unsurmountable problem the Democrats have is that they have used lawfare to attack all those associated with Trump. Literal legal warfare that attempts to ruin people. This was easy red meat for their supporters but incredibly unwise as a long term strategy. What it means is that you strip away all the moderates and less committed from influencing Trump and remove them from the discussion. So instead of promoting supporting their moderation you make them resentful and far more tribal against you....they may drop out but they will vote for him because it's against those that harm them...And many of those observating see it the same way. Those who remain around Trump are either the ideologically fully committed diehards who are going to be far from moderate or the extremely rich, like Musk, who the Democrats can only lightly bruise. I learnt in life that you catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar and hence more goes your way with that approach. The Democrats however are not led by the brightest bulbs in the room. So, just to be clear, although you don’t care about the opinions of the assorted retards and Neanderthals on this football forum, you have nevertheless been inspired to submit more than 17000, yes, seventeen thousand posts in response to same? I am a Palace fan. Have been for 70 years. I started using this site when it was first launched and prior to that was on an email circulation list. So my primary reason is staying up to date with the club. In the last 25 years or so I have travelled a lot and lived abroad for a while. The site was useful then. Having retired my interest in politics increased and having started to read the type of political views that, for some unexplained reason, dominate, this section, joined in. I was particularly affected by my exposure to American ex pats living where I was who circulated conspiracy theories long before they became as widespread as they are today. So yes I am active, because I am both interested and concerned. Reading and thinking is educational. Responding helps sort my own thoughts out, as well as challenge some of the more preposterous ideas that pop up.. I tend to spend an hour or so after breakfast, again after lunch and after dinner. I type whilst watching TV. It’s not very demanding and you won’t find posts from me in the small hours as you will from some obsessive insomniacs. 17,0000 is quite a lot though. Shall I contact the Guinness Book of Records? I plan on achieving another, unrelated, record next year so might have two entries!

When ChatGPT first emerged I experimented with it, as a source of information, several times and used it here once or twice. When I did I acknowledged that as an example of how it worked. I haven’t looked at it since, let alone use it, or any other AI programme. So sorry to disappoint you, but you are wrong.

If that tenant was looking down from on high they must have really loved his attendance. Still he somehow managed to portray himself as some guardian angel.
