I'll be particularly interested if Conor McGregor starts to stand in Irish politics as thus far there is scant representation for native Irish in actual Ireland and he would make a big impact, especially with male youth. I don't know the Irish system but I know the British system isn't democratic in that.....they enforce undemocratic laws onto new or current parties that demand they support social liberalism. We aren't really a democracy. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Nov 2023 9.13am)

When I was in W Cork, had abs no problems with the accent. Loved it. It sounded like something from the islands of Scotland, sometimes, I thought. Anyway, irrelevant. Sorry.

Get ten pints down them and have them talk general nonsense to you, especially as a youngster, and you'll understand my comment!

Radicalisation is radicalisation no matter what religion, colour or creed. I see radicalised Muslims and I see radicalised British Nationalists the same way. Both are as dangerous as each other but neither are a true representation of their people/religion.

The parties do deals over positions including Taoiseach, despite them probably not actually had anywhere near a majority voting for them. I think the current parties had maybe 30% of the votes, if that. They're probably even less popular than ever. But still one of them, or even both, will probably share power after the next election.

I have been following this carefully over the last few months....it really is shocking. Hate is not defined in the bill. If someone gets offended by anything then it's an offence. And it's guilty until proven innocent. At least the likes of china and Russia don't try to hide their communist Totalitarianism ways.

Standard tactics. Force policies onto the public which they didn't vote for or want. Then suppress / demonise any dissent which in turn fuels anger and violence (which is what they want) and then you can ban those who oppose you as extremists.
