Balogun reported at £50m, would be amazed and delighted if this happens Going by recent signings, that's Nkunku, Mount, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling, Tonali, Szoboszlai levels of money. You could get the likes of Kulusevski, Gakpo, Maddison, Barnes, Zinchenko and be left with change. I've not seen enough of him to make a fully informed judgment of him, but am aware he's had one good season. The likes of Moussa Dembele (currently available on a free) have had multiple seasons just as good in the same league. £50m looks a ludicrous price?

From what i've seen It was reported 35m everywhere up until a week or so ago when that genius on sky started saying it was 50m....my guess is that he thought 50m sounded more sensational and everyone else since then has just ran with that new number. Still dont think we'd go close to 35 for a player either tho.

So we will hear this week about Zaha. 80% confident that Zaha will be signing a new deal.

Otherwise £20m sounds about right.

Some would say you are demonstrating you have zero idea because it’s obvious it’s nearer 100% certain that he’s staying.

Are performance related payments a thing for individuals? Sounds pretty stupid for a team game

If Zaha stays it's a mixed blessing. The 200k a week is high and likely to bring other players sniffing possibly causing serious problems down the line. Also how does that affect our ability to bring in the players we need. The 4 years contract might be a bit concerning for the type of player he is. If Zaha was like Ayew and able to play midfield but do people think that's likely? Does he really have those attributes?...Is Zaha really going to be a 34 year old winger or forward? Hopefully my concern is misplaced. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jul 2023 4.01pm)
