I don’t disagree with any of that. However that doesn’t mean that Church leaders cannot reevaluate old doctrine in the light of new knowledge and issue revised guidance. We all learn everyday. Even Churches.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

But on the other hand, doesnt it all go to prove Organised Religion to be a load of hogwash ? reminds me of how Christians vehemently opposed Darwin. And when they saw they couldnt win that argument, they changed tack and said that yes Darwin is compatible with Adam & Eve hogwash. they are literally 'making it up as they go along'

I was raised catholic given my Irish heritage on both sides however I would not consider myself ‘religious’ to any extreme degree. I do retain some belief however, not for any other reason than I find it helps, and would therefore feel just as comfortable in my connection with this belief were I in a Church, Synagogue, Mosque or bench in Mayow Park. All religions claim some sort of connection to divinity however therefore is it not blasphemous for man to say ‘Ah, well x has changed within the realm of man therefore we changed our commitment to higher deities, whose word we claim to follow’. Seems entirely contradictory to both believe in a deity and claim this connection but decide you know better than it, and that’s what grates on me.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

i predict another 50 to a hundred years of woke. Soviet communism lasted 70 years. Catholic Ireland lasted 1,500 years. Indeed, Christian England only died recently. Woke is on the Rise in the West. And probably its main adversary will be Islam. You choose which you prefer ? i doubt that our Civilisation can survive Woke. Sweden & South Africa didnt do very well. ideologies can kill civilisations.....easily. The contempt that Woke has for the straight-hardworking man ? that will be a big challenge for Woke....how to keep them onboard. The infinite 'victimhood' of Woke is its greatest weakness. Including its barmy attempts to engineer a fair society....where everybody has the same sized C0ck. utter madness. How do you keep the lights on when a hardworking electrician enjoys a lesser life than a career-cry-baby who has a permanent cap in hand ? A society of cry-babies is where Woke is taking us. Bible is quite clear about homosexuality I don't agree with that view but apparently the churches are now deciding to ignore the bible, no wonder church numbers are going down. What next believing in the resurrection is optional?

The clerisy have replaced the clergy; they even have their own form of excommunication and both are utterly convinced of their own correctness.

We need to move away from the nonsense talk of the after life and miracles and focus more on treating each other a little better.

i would really love to know more about the Elites & Forces behind Woke. Who is pushing all this stuff ? seems to have started after WWII. And the Sixties......summer of Love.....was the breakthrough moment. Its Rumoured that it was Marxists who infiltrated Universities. if you want to see what we lost....watch a few episodes of Mad Men.
