Choudary is 57 and presumably has never drank alcohol. Therefore he could make it to 87 and get released ? but its highly unlikely. Presumably he will have status in jail. A big fish in a small pond. Its not much compensation for never again being able to watch Celebrity dance competitions. do they have telly in jail ?

I believe you gradually earn privileges like radios and TVs although times may have changed. Depends on the prison. Open prisons have consoles, golf even, perhaps a bit of swimming. Too busy for mere TV.

Choudary will be untouchable in prison, id hedge bets the already enormous amount of Muslim recruitment that goes on in prisons will double just by him being there.

So we don't have a problem with far right Aryan brotherhood types in prison? The way the legacy media acted I thought all the nicks were over run with these boneheads. It seems that a huge percentage of these prisoners are the religion of peace types.

It seems that a huge percentage of these prisoners are the religion of peace types. I think that's more the US. In Britain, in most prisons, the biggest problems tend to be overcrowding and boredom. But radical Islam is relatively extensive in prison in comparison to the wider population. I guess people inside are almost bound to have a chip on their shoulder. And want something to do or keep them going. A lot of prisoners just do things like sleep as much as they can. With overcrowding there's more and more 23hrs a day lock up in the older prisons. It's not quite as glamorous as the Hollywood films. The worst British prisons tend to be young offenders ones where everyone's trying to be really hard. Nasty.
