Great to see a Test Match where the ground is full to capacity on Day 5

If they aren't going to play Mark Wood they should release him to play for Durham before he forgets how to bowl

He'll play won't he? We need some variation in the attack.
Nicely balanced game though with Stokes & Ali not being able to bowl properly offset by Smith & Labahardtospell both missing out. Can't see one or both of them not being in the runs next time.

Tbh even the losers were winners for the crowd. To get your moneys worth in an ashes test is quite rare. Last session drama doesn’t normally happen. Must have been great to play in.

Anderson might be better after one game back. Ali needs to go - I'd rather the young lad. Stokes is a problem if he's injured, in my opinion. His batting was ok and he got a wicket but England can't just carry a bowler. Robinson seemed to do his ankle too. Crawley seems ok but, once again, we end up with an opener conundrum. Spinner a big issue - even fit, is Ali any good? Not test standard, sorry.

I'm really looking forward to see Rehan bowl - an English leggie! What odds he pitches one two feet outside Steve Smith's leg stump and it breaks back to remove his off stump - a la ball of the century. And they're called Googlies not Bosies.

I'd like to see him play but I'm getting the feeling Wood will come back, Ali will be dropped and England won't have a specialist spinner.

Telling us the whole of cricket is racist is really helpful in the middle of the Ashes. How f***ing stupid do we need to be? No way the Aussies would give a f***. They have blatant cheats as Captains.

Or reporting Ponting's reaction to Robinson's "sledging". I'd been quite enjoying his commentary but his grasp of irony is obviously tenuous at best. Particularly when the director is as keen on showing Merv Hughes all the time.

The report says the influence of private schools in developing cricketers and the lack of cricket in state schools is partly to blame for "elitism and class-based discrimination".

I do recognise that, experienced the class system myself, and in my state school we didn't even have a pitch, but racism still, I am a little surprised.
