I think you may be right. CG's boundless energy and willingness to battle are great qualities as is his desire to be in the thick of it but IMO he hasn't quite got the technical skills that Chelsea want from their players.

He who runs non stop for 10 months runs out of puff.

The Conor who ended the season was a shadow of the one who began it.

If we get him, needs to spread his effect better so he plays at his starting standard to the end.

But I suspect he will not return and he has had his glory period. Everton or Newcastle will shell out a fortune and wonder why he is not as good as when he played for us early doors.
