I have not read the whole thread so apologies.
Also - only seen extended higjlights.
Wilf needs to learn to behave but oppo players need to be dealt with when they continually foul him.
The play acting by the Spurs guy was pathetic.
I still want Wilf in the team though.
Anderson - proving useless in the air - would prefer Tomkins and Guehi.
A difficult ask with ten men so best move on and let us not forget that Saint Harry should not have been playing as he should have been banned!!

Wilf bit of a liability.

Anderson slow on the ground and poor in the air. Not the first time I have been less than impressed by him.

I thought we started well and actually looked the better team for the first 20 minutes. Conceding those goals in such quick succession understandably knocked us back and then Zaha took it upon himself to end the match as a contest.

The first two goals were disappointing in the manner in which we conceded them. Until that point, when we were in shape and had players behind the ball, we looked ok.

As for Wilf...up until the time of his second yellow, his passing, control and decision making were the worst I've seen from him. He made it easy for Moss to send him off and can have no complaints. I think the game was already beyond us but that effectively put paid to any chance of a comeback.

We need to quickly put this behind us and focus on getting three points against Norwich.

I concur, the only point I’d add is that Wilf should have been subbed after the first yellow as he was having such a mare it was only going to end one way.

Absolutely. Good on the ball, but terrible defender

Sad to see so many fans turning on Wilf.

OK, he struggles to control his temper, but we owe him so much. He remains a fantastic player and we're lucky to have such a proven match-winner.

Maybe a short course in anger management is all he needs.

Very well said.

Yesterday was always going to be difficult for us anyway and made impossible once Zaha started his spoilt child behaviour. Hopefully not withstanding the sending off those on here who continue to harbour unrealistic expectations of Europe will now be more realistic about our situation in the relegation battle ahead. It is highly likely that the 3rd relegation spot will be nearer 16 points once all the games in hand below us are played out which will leave us just 4 points off that position. The games tomorrow will be vital in that battle and a game that we have to win at all costs even without Wilf!

Unlikely

Was having a few drinks at a mates, about ten of us there and managed to convince him to put the game on his new, impressive OLED 61' (i believe) TV. It wasn't quite the joyous, cinematic experience I'd hoped for though it has to be said. Bloody Wilf.

Not even proper fouls like the old days. He does the whole wide eyed at the ref routine for being held and a bit of shirt pulling. Luxury player long since past his best. Eze and Olise in now please. And shift Rak Sakhi up from the 23s. Wilf too comfortable these days. Watford and Ward Prowse sussed out How to play Wilf 4 seasons ago.

c*** face should've been dealt with by the officials on the pitch and the whole Watford squad should've dealt with by the authorities, Zaha and Ayew are fouled constantly because it's the only way to stop them, how would you feel if every time you attempted to do something all your mind anticipates is pain as your legs are removed, what pleasure is there for them knowing that is what they face let alone the added verbal abuse from opponents and their fans, it's amazing that the two of them have had little time in the treatment room considering the amount of crap dished out to them ...I think they deserve every single penny they earn because no one can imagine their frustrations on the pitch and their future injuries as life moves on off the pitch.

It's always been part of football to 'stop' your oponents best player, and wind them up. It happens to the best players in the world. Few react the way wilf does. I played semi pro football and was kicked all over the park. Worst thing I could do was show they were hurting me of getting to me. Just made me work harder to beat them and rub there nose in it when I scored the winner...

The chap that Zaha literally hurled to the floor, wasn’t he the one who did pretty much the same foul on Wilf in the same area of the pitch at Selhurst? Maybe even the same ref??

Same ref, different player - Tanganga last time, Sanchez this.
