But I am becoming fed up with people who suggest it's all quite straightforward and say things such as the above - "Once the season has been downloaded onto a smart phone..." I DO NOT HAVE A SMARTPHONE AND I HAVE NO WISH TO OWN ONE. And nobody at the Club seems to give a stuff. See previous post. Obviously not everyone has one, but I'd be amazed if it's more than 5% of the fanbase. That said, the plastic cards should be still usable for this season to smooth the transition, besides that the old tried and tested of heading to the BO well before the game to get a replacement ticket will be the only option if you don't have a smartphone OR access to a printer. A printer is the minimum requirement. If you don't have that then the plastic card should really still be allowed for one more season IMO

With the action getting underway at 12:30 BST, get to the ground in plenty of time to take advantage of special discounts. Grab an ‘Early Bird’ meal, including a Burger or Hotdog and a beer, for just £7.00 up to 45 minutes before kick-off – a huge discount on the normal price of £10.50. Alternatively, get a meal deal (a burger, a side and any hot or cold soft drink) for just £8.50. Tickets are still available for the fixture - find out more by clicking HERE.
Tickets for this game are on sale at Category A prices. When purchasing online, tickets are sold as e-tickets. These tickets can be shown on your mobile phone, or printed if you prefer (follow the fold lines and keep it dry).
Pretty sure you can get an e-ticket sent to you if you contact the BO.

I printed off my Brentford ticket and would do the same for Spurs if sent one, but I have in recent days seen no mention of that happening. You previously said that only 5% would have neither smartphone or printer, which may be right, but I suspect that the % with a printer but no smart phone is considerably higher than that. Yes, we could have had a year to get used to the change, but I still can't see the point of the change.

Yes, we could have had a year to get used to the change, but I still can't see the point of the change. The point of it is part PL requirement, part cost-saving (long term, less staff required to manage ticketing, for example), part cost reduction, part inevitable technological change and automation. The direction of travel is the direction of travel. Contactless has been mainstream for years in multiple industries... not sure why anyone would think football and events in general would simply remain the same...

So what's the best way to pass on a season ticket if I or my Dad can't make it?

I've literally just received this in an email from the Box Office... We are really sorry to inform you that we have encountered technical issues delivering your Mobile Season Ticket to you. Rest assured, we have made alternative arrangements for you whilst we work to resolve the issue. For the Spurs game on Saturday, we will issue you with an e-ticket which will follow this email. We are doing everything we can to resolve the issue in time for the next home match against Brighton. Thank you so much for your continued support, and please accept our apologies for the issue. We will be in touch following the Spurs game. The Box Office team. So the fiasco goes on. I'm one of those with a season ticket and membership. They've just emailed me the tickets for the Spurs game as an e-ticket.... Anyone else had this?? Edited by kennybrowns leftfoot (09 Sep 2021 6.12pm)
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Alternatively give your login details to the other two, if they have phones and the app they can login to your account and download the ticket they need. They can then log back in with their own details as before, season stays on the phone separate to the app. Temp hack but less faff in the long run.
