GB news presenter Guto Harri , took the knee,in the GB studio, in solidarity with the England players yesterday. Is the channel going wokey kokey already?

But... but, it's a Far Right channel.

Everyone should reserve the right to make themselves look stupid.

I thought Andrew Doyle was excellent yesterday.

Using facts and proportionality to keep in perspective the abuse of England players on line - If what is serious is not kept in proportion, if you do you not use genuine evidence, the facts then individuals, organisations, media cannot truly be taking racism seriously because truths are being avoided - Racism is sensationalised, racism is nefariously weaponised due to political ideology.

I have little doubt that the media had their headlines for the Euro Final preprepared. One which disproportionately lauded the contribution of Black players in out famous victory and the other where Black players were the victims of racist abuse after failing to win. Cynical ands calculated.

The actual truth of a situation has been mattering less and less within society and media for quite a long time now.

What's more important are buzzwords and narratives and the apparent total agreement upon both.

Otherwise you apparently hate people.

Everything is framed on the extremes with no nuance allowed.

There are certain pointers that seem to suggest that.

Choice and order of penalty takers....Huge and rapid media and propaganda campaigns.

Who knows.

I'm not sure about the penalties. I feel like Stirling should have been called on rather than Saka so that was not a racially motivated decision. My criticism would be that he put a young man up to take the last penalty who doesn't even take penalties rather than someone more experienced. Saka deserves no criticism beyond being a professional footballer who can't take a good penalty under extreme pressure. There are plenty of those so it appears.

Perhaps Sterling was next.

In terms of missing spot kicks we have seen it all before....in terms of Southgate's selection...let's just say it doesn't surprise me.

He picked Kane and Maguire out of the five and subbed Sancho and Rashford on just to take penalties.

He could have chosen from Grealish, Stones and Shaw with Mount, Rice and Trippier all substituted before trhe end.

Interesting isn't it.

Can you imagine the headlines.

Glory or tragedy, race would have been front and centre.
