Very surprised no one went in for him during this window. Especially as Derby have no chance of getting promoted. Originally posted by black eagle.

Perhaps its a cunning plan. Ferguson will have a knee op while being paid by West Brom. And by the time he recovers in the summer he'll be a free agent and we snap him up for nothing?? Or perhaps not !! Unfortunately he will more than likely be in the Prem League next season, playing for the Baggies. This ship has turned and rightly so if he has medical issues. Unfortunately this came to light too late in the window to bring in other targets. The misery has been compounded by the lack of movement in the attacking options.

That's what my blind optimistic head is telling me! You've got to laugh really (otherwise you'll cry). In the space of 24hrs a young RB who the day before plays 90mins fails his medical and then Conor Wickham passes his no problem! Vintage Palace.

You should read the article by Dom Fifield on the subject...very interesting. Dougie was apparently haggling over who should pay for any operation needed. West Brom medical team didn't think one was needed urgently and Bilic was very surprised as he had been playing.
I reckon we’ve blown this now anyway. Undoubtedly a promising player who’s recent conversion from centre back to full back has unearthed a real prospect and with the right coaching and development could be an established top flight player (A lot of interest from overseas with Schalke, Marseille, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Juventus tracking his progress according to the report). What are the chances of us missing out in the summer now and then watching this player go on to be sold on for £30 million in two and a half years time?! Edited by Phil’s Barber (02 Feb 2020 1.13pm)

If has knee ligament issues he was not worth the risk. Sure he could develop into an outstanding RB equally you could have another Sakho on your hands. I live in Brazil and often wonder why clubs like Palace don’t scout here, there is no shortage of young technically gifted RBs here

Are we to presume that we have pulled out of a cheap deal for a highly rated teenage defender who has been playing for the team top of the championship at both rb and lb, also is tipped to become a cb, because he is not going to play more than 5 games this season and will undoubtedly be forced to retire and never play again soon due to a knee injury? Just asking? On a podcast, it was mentioned that Ferguson's medical results were sent to the Yanks medical team in the States, that look after their American teams for an opinion. They said it is potentially a career ending injury and very difficult to repair. He played for WBA on the Tuesday in pain and they were trying to make light of the problem.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
