Like a 'Bullet To Bejing' perhaps?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

We were left with our back-up right-back when AWB left for Man Utd and we signed a player who had a long-term injury and wasn't going to challenge for a place straight away.
Total and utter folly and no wonder some supporters get irate about our transfer activity.

On the other hand, Palace signed Ferguson on a free, although there will be some £SD involved through the tribunal? Palace as we all know do not have super money bags owners, so have to do things on the cheap. It could well be another six months before we know whether Ferguson is a good player or not. If he turns out to be really good, people will start saying 'what a great piece of business'. If it turns out he's c..p, then at least we haven't spent oodles of money? This is the kind of compromise clubs like Palace have to make?

I fully appreciate the financial parameters, but to sign a right-back with a long term injury when we only had 1 recognised right-back in the squad appears to be the height of folly.Let's hope Joel Ward stays fit!

I believe Ward is injured, hence the interest in Clyne, who we haven't signed yet anyway.

Whose last game was the end of the 2018-19 season when he played for Bournemouth whom we beat 5-3 at Selhurst Park!

With the greatest of respect I never intend to create an impression I know to be not the actualite.

I would like to re-iterate what I have asserted a few times on HOL, that being 'ITK' does not place one on the pantheon of greats.

In the final analysis I am certainly no blowhard, a pompous popinjay or a chap who is all hat but no cattle.Humility is at the centre of my moral code.

Our owners are super rich. It's just they want to stay that way and not spend their money on players for us.
