Excluding Sorloth I assume

On the assumption he choose him, which is a popular theory by people with a grudge against Roy.

Bit childish to question if the bloke is a fan. He's entitled to his opinion.
I actually agree with him. Parish did save the club, So did the 3 other investors and Lloyds who agreed to do a deal on the freehold of Selhurst Park (you might need reminding CPFC2010 had no interest in saving the club unless they could get their hands on Selhurst).
Since then the club have done very well. You could say we have been lucky (to have been promoted so quick) and even luckier (to have stayed up and thrived). But Parish has made mistakes. Big ones. And he repeats those mistakes which is unforgivable in the unforgiving world of football/business. Are we not allowed to critise him because he was a quarter of an investment group that managed to purchase something very very cheap that had the potential to be worth ten times what they paid and is now worth probably 100 times what they paid.
Maybe there should be a time limit. Will it be alright to criticise him in say 10 years? or 100 maybe? or never?
You need to grow up mate. We are all flawed, all of us. You, me AND Steve Parish.

When SP and the remainder of the quartet acquired the club there was far more potential to slip into league one and as I recall we were bookies favourites for relegation the season we went up.

Every Chairman or CE makes bad decisions and SP’s good ones have hugely outweighed the bad. Eg buying Zaha rather than the Sh1t Pulis and his chronies would like to have saddled us with.

No one is beyond critcism but we have a simple choice as fans now whether we’d like a gamble on a foreign investor who could turn out to be anything or accept that the club be run as sustainable business by a fan but relegation will happen sooner rather than later.

Yes, we were signing Adam Barrett etc when they bought the club.

Signing Zaha has been THE biggest master stroke. Not only has he played a big part in a handful of seasons but he’s a highly valued asset after all that as well. We’d be replacing Pulis’s players after 2-3 seasons but then I guess not purchasing Benteke or Sakho, if we survived to sign them. Parish’s mistakes are why we’re hamstrung right now. We’re very lucky we have AWB to sell, otherwise relegation is a bigger possibility, and/or selling Wilf more likely and sooner.

Like the current owners and US shareholders, we don’t get to choose who they are.

I don't have a grudge against Roy, but Sorloth was down to him. I was told that at the time of him signing.

Roy admitted it at the time that he had his eye on Sorloth for quite a while. I didn't respond to Painter as some things are just pointless

Obviously we don’t get to choose. I was simply making the point that those are the two scenarios.

Where are these stories coming from of a club take over. The comic Daily Star is reporting a mixed story on Zaha and a 220m Chinese take over can anyone enlighten me.

You make this statement like I disagree with you. I dont. You said yourself no one is above critisism which is all I said. Sounds like you are paying lip service with that comment as you then go on to defend his poor mistakes and make excuses for him.
It was fan pressure as much as anything else that brought Zaha back from United, but as usual lets give all the credit to he who can do no wrong, the great vulture face himself Steve Parish

I initially read that as a 220m Chinese take away.

Now those would be some impressive prawn balls.

Nicely put Zico, we are without doubt in a better position than ever before and SP has to take credit for that.

Does he?

The PL money means that there is less need to sell good players than ever before.
It is easier to compete with foreign clubs for players.

Parish and his pals bought the club for next to nothing.

We got very lucky having Zaha. Parish sold him.
We got unbelievably lucky to get him back.

We got lucky that Watford had an off day in the Play Off Final.

Holloway and Parish spends money on a lot of crap

Got lucky to find Pulis available. Parish fell out with him.

Neil Warnock. Didn't work.

Pardew. Did OK for a while, One cup final, which we lost to a poor Man U...Again. Should have been sacked earlier.

Then we got lucky to find Big Sam available. Not ambitious enough for him.

Brought in a complete weirdo that wanted to play expansive football despite not having the players to do it. Hopless thinking.

Roy. Steady and won't quit even when the board sells his best players.

What has Parish actually done?
