Agree, my only reservation is Povetkins age though. Hughie appears to have a chin and good fitness so it may be a case of whether AP can still do 12 rounds. If he can then I agree, he wins.

Good little match up though.

That's true. It's certainly not a foregone conclusion as such and is one to watch. It's nice to have a few fights to look forward to since the heavyweight division had been in the doldrums for years! God bless the Klitschko brothers retirement. Anthony Joshua did something right at least .

If fury loses this fight, I know he’s still young, where would he go? Every time he would have stepped up he would have lost. Would probably be fighting David Price if he loses. None of the top boys ever even talk about him.
Reckon he could be on the next series of love island

Dillian Whyte: British heavyweight passed all Vada tests for Oscar Rivas bout - [Link]

He's not handsome enough so will have to opt for I'm a Celebrity. From high profile fights to chewing on a kangaroos ballsack. Thems the breaks!

Hmmm

I know that micro dosing in combination with masking agents is a technique that gets used to pass tests.....but that isn't proof against Whyte....but I'm suspicious of every top ten fighter personally....especially older ones with money.

Billy Joe Saunders has split with Frank Warren, can’t be going over to Eddie Hearn surely?
Probably needs a link up with DASN/match room as all the big fighters in his division are with them.

About time BJS is a real talent and needs some big fights whilst in his prime. Outside of boxing fans, hardly anyone knows who he is unlike Eubank Junior (who Billy beat). Saunders needs to have his profile raised. Hopefully this should be a good move.

Tyson Fury has now agreed terms for his next fight next month.

The opponent is Sweden’s Otto Wallin. He’s 28 and has a record of 20-0 (13) all Wallins opponents appear to be complete dog sh@t.

Appears to be another tread water fight until Wilder.

Shame, would liked to have seen Fury face a genuine fringe contender however they are not taking any risks.

Yes, it's certainly a mixed picture now with this latest result.

Agreed. I'd usually criticise fighters for this, but after the Anthony Joshua disaster they're all looking to remove any risk of losing prior to the huge money fights.

AJ v Ruiz rematch reportedly in doubt.

Apparently Ruiz is not happy to sign the contract having been offered 9 million compared to Joshua’s 40 million.

Ruiz is the champ however AJ brings the audience.

Personally I still see this happening as Ruiz really doesn’t have any other options to make this kind of money as both Wilder and Fury are busy for next six months.

Guess it all comes down to the original contract they all signed.

Ruiz is starting to get on my wick.....he went cap in hand to Hearn for that chance.....he has already been listened to over the venue.....if he doesn't get on with it perhaps he should be stripped.
