Transfer dealings are often murky. An agent tells the club my player is fit and desperate to join Palace when one or both of those statements may not be true. Some agents will play clubs off against each other.

I have no idea whose Dazza's source but it is likely they are only reporting what they have been told. There again they maybe feeding Dazza and the media misinformation so that the selling club and player believe other targets are in mind if the price is too high.

On sale as permanent deal now...which I think would interest Brighton

Being announced by Bournemouth at 4 o'clock.

The failing the medical bit was about saving face once he heard there was a permanent deal elsewhere.

And you can still bet on it at Skybet

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

At U21 international level he looked good and Roy clearly believes he has potential. Now whilst I agree it’s not worth loaning a player who is injured I would consider buying him at the sort of money that is being spoken of, firstly because of his potential and secondly because he is English therefore he only has to achieve slightly better than mediocrity to substantially increase his future value. So, in short, no to a loan, yes to a buy at £12m-£15m

That is probably true but I would also think that the Scousers know what his current medical status was ? Now he is moving permanently to the Cherries as he is supposedly not allowed to join on loan due to FA regulations. Sounds like you are spot on with the murkiness.

Crazy that he can join Liverpool for somewhere between 3 and 10 million and then without kicking a ball get sold on for up to 19 million.

Can we do that with Sorloth please?

thought solanke was injured that's why we pulled out of the deal now the real reason is Bournemouth have come in with a permanent offer and being sold for 19 million so SP and the like were lying than that's the truth about it

If Solanke is worth £19 million plus add ons, what does that make Wilf and AWB worth?

Staggering!!!

Only played 27 times in his career and scored 1 goal.

He might be no better than Sorloth, might be the next Salah... nobody knows yet, not even Eddie Howe, massive risk in my opinion!

Glad we didn't spend £19m on him

... what
