Disagree - countless times today he won the ball back. Made strong and direct passes out to the wings or to the central midfield. He was even up top a few times - and won 2 of the free kicks just outside the area in the first half. No idea how you missed him to be honest. Yes, I agree, I thought he played well, looks good on the ball and confident. Unfortunately he plays in Luka’s position and possibly Kouyate’s and they are two of our most solid performers so he is always going to struggle for game time. He is however a good player to have on the bench and is still relatively young so could make the step up to starter in a season or so.

He’ll make our squad stronger and I’d rather him than puncheon common off the bench nowadays so I’m happy we got him I think the sticking point everyone is upset about is, he’s not a ready made replacement for cabaye. Well he maybe so next season after settling in properly. He’s ours now so enjoy him, I think he’ll blossom in time

He was in a great position last night unmarked in the box Zaha went for goal... Should have passed it.. I find Zaha frustrating sometimes take the easy pass not try and go through 3 tight defenders

He’s a good player, I like him. If he had more game time he would soon be up to Premiership speed. He’s different to Cabeye in that his passing and link up play is better. Just hasn’t hit the net yet, but I am sure he will soon...

Lucky to get him under Pards. Meyer needs extra time as he hasn't played in the league before.

I think he's shown glimpses of real class, and looks to offer something that none of our other midfielders do. That said, I think it's going to take him a while for him to adjust to the prem (and for Roy to work out where his best position is). I think next season we will start to see the best from him, he's still only young after all
