It’s a good result for England, make no mistake about it. We’ve just about scraped past Tunisia and put 6 past a Sunday league team. Hysteria follows of course, but we ain’t beating Brazil. The biggest worry for us now is Colombia, who are actually a good team. *If* we can get past them, then we have a real chance of going further than we have done in some time. We’re still nowhere near the big boys of world football. Tbf Italy, Holland and Germany could be considered big boys and England have done better than them so far.

Italia 90 Part 2 without Germany lurking to bring on the heartache. Great chance for the semis.

Absolutely not! That was garbage tonight. We know these players can play but unfortunately on the biggest stage they don't have the mentality to cope.

Rashford showed he isn't International class. Typical England player, all pace and little else I'd rather have Heskey back !

Not disagreeing in any way, Rudi, but (let’s say) as a one-off football match, it was a bit of a concern that the England ‘reserves’ were a clear second best to Belgium reserves. Also bang goes an unbeaten record dating back 80 years. However, I appreciate that this is tournament football, and therefore the end justifies the means. If 8 fresh Englishmen plus the other 3 turn over Columbia, then all will be well. If......

The quantity of quality players is very similar to Palace but we wouldn’t want to rely on beating Man City, would we?

All I meant was that if the ‘proper’ England team (presumably the 8 who were rested last night plus another 3) win against Columbia, then all will be well.
