This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think also if Wilf wants to test himself against the top boys only champions league not international football is available to him and he wont get that here, One more season may see his value go up to Coutinho levels, so do all we can to keep him one more year.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Sounds more like wishful thinking coupled with a bit of blind faith from someone with his head buried firmly in the sand. I would love to be in a position to apologize to you in a week or so but somehow I doubt whether I will need to easily led son, your easily led, whether your right or wrong, one piece of news has made your mind up about it and that's just poor going.

Wilf is in a position to play hardball. Who accepts the first offer in those circumstances? TBF I think the later decision to invade the Soviet Union was dumber, as was the decision to attack the USA.

I don’t begrudge Wilf another move but if this story is true then the timing isn’t great. As seems to be the norm at Palace, it’s another pre season bombshell. I actually doubt that this is about money. More likely Wilf can only see another season of firefighting ahead. And it’s hard to see anything else at the moment. Exactly, and I cannot understand for the life of me why more effort was not made to keep Cabye. He will cost a kings ransom to replace like for like.
