If my recollection is correct I never said that Mark was incorrect in what he said.Far be it from it from me to disagree with a referee of such high standing.

All I did was offer a possible explanation as to the decisions which were considered contentious.

I'm only trying to understand the decisions from a referee's perspective.

but as a 'Palace fan' dont you ever look at the match , the diabolical decision by Taylor (or any other referee) and think to yourself FFS (or whatever expletive you choose to use) that is just wrong?? Or do you think 'Good I can wind up a few people on HOL tonight?...because it sometimes/usually seems that way.

Like I said, zero empathy. Proves he's not a Palace f^H supporter.

Some others might opt to take this stance for their own fulfilment and enjoyment but alas all I do is to offer my honest opinions and perspectives regarding refereeing decisions.

I can assure you I have been at Palace games where I have formed an opinion about certain decisions from my vantage point and expressed my displeasure only to find that I have been unfair having viewed them on 'Slow-Mo' etc. I get it wrong sometimes in real-time and so do referees. We are all terrific referees having viewed incidents umpteen times in 'Slow-Mo'.

yeah nice swerve.....your big words still dont impress Im afraid
So you have NEVER been at a game, seen a decision against your team(?) booed and cursed the ref, then arrived home and looked at MOTD and realised that the ref was wrong and your condemnation was justified then??
EVERY time you have been upset by a ref, later viewing of the incident has proved that he was correct all along? So why has the Everton player been charged with cheating? If he cheated then your Mr Taylor was wrong but you still wont admit it! I know you never said refs are not 100% infallible before you wheel that one out, but on this occassion??? The facts are there........

It has never been my intention to try and impress anyone with my terminology or use of words on HOL.

Having followed Palace for 60 years I have seen more than my fair share of poor referees. However the Premier League with its drive for money and success has dragged its corruptness onto the playing field in the form of cheating. I accept that diving and injury simulation has always existed but not on the industrial scale of today. How are referees supposed to control the cheating millionaires every games particularly when the majority of players are bending every rule to the extreme. There is no support for referees from the Premier League, the FA, players or supporters as there is no respect or tv review as per rugby. I really don’t know why they do the job - would any of you? Like every one else I am incensed that Everton stole two points but on reflection it is not referees who the cause it is the utter dishonesty of the players, clubs and the system that needs to be addressed. Sounds a bit like the government, doesn’t it?!
