They are still accusations and still no proof that he said racist remarks. There has to be proof and/or witnesses. Anyone can accuse you of anything and they can ruin your career. No action should be taken unless you admit your guilt or solid proof is obtained.

This ridiculous circus is merely yet another example of the failure of multi-culturalism. [I will now be told (yet again) to 'feck' off and that I am a racist/fascist etc by the unfettered progressives on here, for pointing out the obvious.] Edited by hedgehog50 (19 Oct 2017 7.13am)
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

No action was taken against him as his dismissal was due to some prior allegations whilst he was employed in a previous role with a complete different employer. If the FA were willing to pay off the female footballer to keep quiet I am guessing that Sampson will receive a substantial payoff to go away quietly

Bizarre that people seem to think of Sampson as some kind of victim. Should never have got the job in the first place, again a relationship between a 17 year old and a coach at an academy my be consensual but is highly inappropriate, I shouldn’t imagine you would like your 17 year old daughters to be shagging their teacher or doctor.

What's bizarre is that you think people should be sacked for being in legal relationships. Would you like to go and break up all the marriages that resulted from these legal consensual relationships? Maybe you want to break up cousins who marry next. If something is legal you don't sack people for it. A seventeen year old can make their own sexual decisions. That's why we have the age of consent. Maybe you should start your own 'Mary Whitehouse' campaign to put in age stipulations about who they can f***. Then you might have a leg to stand on. I think society is worsened by viewpoints of repression like yours and while the FA bossess should be sacked it's not because this guy was in a past consensual relationship which they had no problems with previously because....presumably it was legal. The word of one person can ruin your career. I just hope that their turn comes around.

Yes but it happened with the facts as they are and she can argue he decided what's appropriate and acceptable. If you were hauled into an HR meeting over saying something similar in an office professional environment, and there's every chance you would be, you wouldn't stand a chance in being able to argue this type of thing should become acceptable there, but because it's already happened in the lowest common denominator humoured environment of the football changing room, then it's acceptable there because it's his call it is. Does anybody hear this in the office? Or to someone of lower rank? Or female too? Would anyone be happy a future manager taking risks with his humour? He probably wouldn't if the percentage of black players was a bit higher, and again, a bit more physically assertive than a 10 stone woman. So to sum up. It's because she is black and different rules apply.
