Why would we want a manager that got relegated with Hull. Part of the reason why he was relegated was because he was forced to sell his two best players in January

We need someone that puts focus on having a strong spine to the team, maintains the defensive solidity but keeps out pacy attacking threat. I don't want to see someone who wants to play open and expansive football and sacrifices the defensive and fitness side of the game. Just realised that Attor Karanka is available. I think he could be a decent choice if Silva goes to Porto

Can't believe that Pardew is turning up on these odds lists. If there at all he ought to be listed last as a joke item at 10000 / 1 against, surely? He's got more chance of turning a pig farm into an airline than getting his feet back under the table at Palace. I f***ing hope. The same applies to Pulis, who is also being touted at about 20 / 1. I agree that Mancini is probably the most technically proficient name on that list and we won't go to pot with him. I do recall that he had an attitude issue when we last discussed the manager appointment (at Christmas) and reports of him chucking his weight around with people and being difficult to get along with, so the soft skills end of things might be a problem.
