Exactly I will never understand the pain of a family not knowing what has happened to their daughter but every year hundreds of children go missing.

There comes a point when you have to draw a line so unless they have any hard leads it's time to stop. The McCanns can continue to investigate and the case will remain open so any time any new evidence comes up...

Whatever the circumstance, the idea that one girls life is more valuable than hundreds of others is just not something I can accept.

9/10 in these inner city knifings the parents are part of the root cause.

It's all: "mercy mercy me lord done took my baby" followed by "stop and search is racist, f*** the police".

It's a gang culture problem. They know who the perpetrators are in gang violence cases but until the communities take the lead in changing the culture and holding their own families and community to standards of civilised behaviour and work with police then it's not going to change.

I would rather devote the dough to finding out what happened to Maddie.

Correct. Throwing money at a problem that needs cohesion at a community level is just wasted money.
The London knife crime rate needs to be accepted as a cultural issue first, cooperation between police and community second, re-education third, stop and search in parellel along with extra resources into policing during the education package.

There is absolutely no majority support for this across community, politicians or media so I'd rather invest the money in finding out what happened to McCann.

Cracking a nonce ring/ corruption/ bringing to justice child murdering frauds all represent greater value for the financial investment.
