Very bad day today, bad result against what is at best a very average West Ham. What ever Sam has done today it has not worked. We need to back to basics defend correctly, keep the ball and try to create some chances. Major surgery needed Don't blame all the players as if I was one of them I would panic every time the ball came anywhere near our goal with calamity Hennessey in between the sticks what on earth does he do in training is beyond me. Jules should be in goal and we should be after another goalkeeper and get rid of Hennessey. Steve is wanting to go back to France in the near future so a new goalie it is in my books...Hennessy lost us the game!!!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Parish and Allardyce really need to think hard about moving Benteke, I get that hes a big strong physical striker and the sentiment that he was supposed to be the clubs marquee signing to establish PL staying power but it hasn't worked out, with him we have the cart before the horse. If we sold him and bolstered the midfield and defense we have a punchers chance at staying up. Edited by Sheks Crows Eye (14 Jan 2017 4.56pm)

Not convinced they want to be playing under him, AP was a players manager, although s***e in the latter months. Utter bollocks. AP has destroyed this team more than anyone could of thought. The man was a control freak who did his best to rid the club of any players who might possibly of been more popular than him.

When Sam came in, I thought we were safe. When we lost to Swansea, I was worried. Today I've realised that this squad needs so much rebuilding that we don't have enough time to sort things out this season. I think we're going down. That's a statement I find hard to agree against.
Most certainly not European. |

I'm afraid "that was the worst half I've ever seen us play" is becoming a tired refrain. Every time I think we can't get worse, we do. It used to be that bad performances were followed by a bollocking, training, a determination to improve and some kind of attempt to get a result. But once we let the first goal in that just looked as if they were all on the beach already. Benteke was particularly useless and currently looks worse than Campbell. At least Campbell does some work.

Well I for one have supported Palace for over 35 years, travelled world wide to see them play, spent thousands like most fans, surely the constructive criticism should come from BFS. Us fans should be able to vent our spleens on here, the fans forum. Not that it matters but I've done 30 years of hard time with Palace myself, I've criticised the team in this thread it's when the spleen venting spills over into " I hope the Pardew out brigade are happy" and other such nonsense, that winds me up, we're all supposed to be on the same side here.
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

nail on head Pardew has utterly wrecked this team and it stands in his image of something that looks flashy but underneath has a rotting undercurrent, The marginalisation of the leaders of the team - Speroni, Jedi, Murray et al and removing those characters from not just the field but the dressing room as well, Blowing smoke up Cabaye's backside - telling players that once they play like him they can have his wages - well Christ I think there will be a few knocking on Parish's door. Then there was the comment "I can't believe we got Andros Townsend" - I'm with you on that one Alan, I can't believe it either. The "we will play more expansive, clean sheets aren't important" approach, well guess what I've decided to operate a faster speed approach to driving. Means I'll get there quicker, but probably lose my licence. This is a team that looks exactly what it is, a fake, overpaid, overly smug bunch of individuals with one or two redeeming features. You cannot polish a turd once a turd has happened but lord knows the turd that was slowly developed under Pardew was rolled in copious amounts of glitter under the heading of expansive football. I actually feel sorry for Big Sam, he is left holding the baby on this one, after Pardew gets his pay off and will go somewhere else and wreck another club. He has to try and build a team of solidarity when his predecessor made it clear that certain players were worth more than others. All that yet under Pardew we were hardly ever outplayed and the team still had spirit. That is not the case now.

We're not going down. This is ALL Pardew's doing. Sam is giving us a chance. Pardew did sweet f-all in the preseason and didn't even think about cover at LB and for Jedinak. Today they were players still recovering from injury and never got rolling. Also, their goals were ALL defensive errors - thank Pardew for that. Can't blame Sam at this stage. He needs this window and with Evra and the lads fitter they'll start to perform no doubt in my mind. Too many sh1t teams in this season's PL. West Ham were there for the taking in the first half had we been a little more fitter and fluid. No - I am keeping the faith. Good luck Sam and COYP!
