Whatever his rating vs other left-backs in the prem. Given our current available squad he will be a serious enhancement. We have NO left back folks and very very limited defensive options on the left side of our defence. Seriously, this message board is getting even more negative and I didn't think that was possible.. I know we've been on a bad run for over a year but if this transfer goes throughthen it is a bit of good news surely.

And whilst I'm on it. Every player we buy has had to be 'let go' by another club so 'cannot be good enough for us' or is 'too much money'. Too easy to say and the obvious negative line for every single transaction we do.

It is clearly the case that player power supplants manager power in the grand scheme of things.

Did you see pva's "defending" v WBA? Doesn't thrill me with confidence I'm sure he's better than the highlights, plus u could say in a side devoid of confidence he's possibly better than current performances..problem is he'll be joining a side in a similar state..for 9 million?
