We're doing OK this season, today with the rub of the green we could've taken something out of the game. You think that was crap? It was typical Palace.

Either support the club or jog on

Quite right. Some people simply cannot be reasoned with.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

See, for me, MacAthur, who I really rate, is a more traditional box to box midfielder. I don't think he is so effective as an out and out holding midfielder who sits in front of the back four. Although you may be right, he may still be our best option at the moment.

One thing he is not is a number 10. It's bought us the odd goal but he offers very little in the hole imo. In front of the back 4 however he is phenomenal. Get punch back up the pitch and interchanging with andros, Wilf and Tekkers-100% our best option.

How about the champions league you do know we were playing the champions of England today.

The Champions of England who have only beaten Swansea and Burnely at home thus far now us. Also they played a game extra than us in the week, which probably accounts for the slow start.

Delaney and Kelly are simply not good enough. and I'm not Bi Polar, or a doom and gloom merchant I say things as I see them, and clearly the players we have are not capable of playing the way AP seems to want to play, and when the supply route to wilf or townsend is stiffled we have no other way of breaking teams down.

West Ham Did it, WBA, did it, and Leicester did it. Yes we had possession but most of it was in our last third, and we only came into the game at 3-0 down with 5 left, by which time I'm sure Leicester took their foot of the gas, and they could and should have had another.

For some reason we can only play well for short periods and not sustain pressure on anyone. That has to be a training pitch issue.

That's is my concern, we are very patchy. Personally though feel it's a concentration thing. We fall asleep far too often at the back and in defensive midfield and that is a quality of player issue. Only last week I defended Ward, but it really does seem that he should be more of a back up player now, as does DD, Ledley and Kelly.
Not gonna slaughter Fryers, haven't seen enough of him yet, but can someone explain how he managed to concede the corner for the third? Step across the ball man and take the hit from Vardy, very poor stuff.
Major defensive overhaul is required in January.

For second game after his England duty Townsend has been one of our worst players. The Southgate call-up gone to his head?

They have not lost at home for ages including champions league, we are not good enough to boss games with our current players so in our good spells we need to score we have not beaten any in form teams losing to Leicester is no surprise. My worry is the lack of fight in our defenders that used to be our strength. We are where we are new players are needed the ones we have need to perform 7/10 or better every game to give us a chance as in the Stoke game.

So - a defeat at Leicester whose league form is poor - they are STILL below us.
We have problems and they start with Pardew who when interviewed after the game just says - they are a good side - and so accepts defeat!
We were woeful defensively and that started with the midfield who just let Leicester have the ball time and time again.
They left the back 4 with way too much to do time and time again.
Doesn't help when the defence is poor as well.
Jedinak has gone - but he and his type are what we need in games like these to stand firm in front of the back 4 and bloody well run the midfield by telling people what to do!
We are way too quiet and there seems to be no one taking charge on the pitch.
Cabaye is not the answer and like it or not we are paying the price for letting Jedinak leave the Club.
Look at the League table - we have been beaten by West Brom, West Ham and Leicester who like it or not are all below us in the table. We only got a point from the Bournemouth game and they have just crept above us.
I hope we beat Liverpool next week but looking in from the outside the good teams will have a field day if we continue to defend so poorly from the front backwards.
We have also become a one trick pony with Benteke on his own up front - oh for Gayle to be alongside him.
I hope we do well moving forward from now on but I am afraid I still believe that AP is not the man to do the job - he has said publicly that he says who he wants to sign and so I presume sell as well.
He has some of the players he wants and he tells them what to do and I am not liking what I see overall so on his head be it!

Thought we looked dominant for first half an hour and had Benteke's header gone in rather than striking bar, it's a different game.

Thought first half most of the team, with the exception of Townsend who since England call up has looked ineffective, did pretty well. Should have defended first goal better and momentum then shifted.
Each of their goals were great strikes (I wish we would shoot more frequently!)

Not sure why DD is always the scapegoat with fans on here. I think it's just their default position. Tomkins has certainly pulled up no trees since his arrival , but receives little criticism!

Interesting to see Cabaye contributing more going forward, but seemed to run out of steam after about 30 mins and then showed in patches.

MoM = Wilf who was out on his feet at the end, but still took them on relentlessly and had the assist for the goal.

We look like a very average premier league team. Looks like we can pick up some points against out of form or poor sides but it looks like we will struggle if anyone plays well against us.
The way things are shaping up we look like we will be in the bottom half of the table somewhere. We probably look slightly better than most of last season so that is an improvement.
I believe we would be better with Pape back but these things happen. Kelly looks out of his depth at full back much of the time. It was genuinely scary when Mahrez was taking him on - accident waiting to happen. Not sure about Fryers either, Ward is ok and Delany and Tomkins ok but they are not brilliant either.
Problem was how easily we conceded and how hard we made it to score.
Still happy enough so far; as long as we stay well above the relegation zone I will be happy.
