Why is this still bumbling along, we got our target man in on loan, we have Muzza as back up, Gayle and Campbell to play off them IF we go 442 and then we still have Chamakh! From what Pards has said about the financial precedent he's working towards we are NOT going to pay north of 8M for the permanent services of an unproven player!

If the Arsenal loanee is expected to score the goals to keep us up I fear the worst. Campbell is woeful and Murray is championship standard.

agree about murray, campbell works so hard, sanogo will be good imo

ye sanogo can be tricky which should work well with yala and wilf.

no need to fear

'Strikers in the Premier League don't always have to score goals, I think Sanogo offers the chaos factor. He has technical ability and defenders don't always know what he's going to do.

'His main job here is to grow as a player and goals will make him grow quicker.'

Stupid question, but why can't we ever find these type of out of contract players to recruit for free?

One thing I hope is that Pardew will have a far superior network of scouts and their net spreads vastly further than the British Isles.

i think you need to realise that murray really isn't premier league quality, his hold up play is the only thing you could say is premier league quality

So, should we sign him that means no place for Chamakh or Gayle, bearing in mind Sonogo hasnt come here to warm the bench.

Chamayle should be our main partnership IMO, but they've never been given a run in the side together or a chance to forge an understanding.

I really cant understand spunking out on unproven players for the sake of it.

Get in someone who's proven theyre better than Campbell as back up and leave it at that.

Baffled.

I think he is just what we need, he's scored three goals in the last two games, all of them were mad by himself in the box, we have no-one that can do that, we have players that can make space for themselves, but no-one that tuck the ball away like that, our front players rarely get the ball close to the target let alone in the net.

Indeed - if people cant see what why we need Gomis and what he can bring (or someone very much like him) then I give up
