My gut feeling is that he'll turn us down because he still has unfinished business at Bournemouth. In the play offs and a possible shot at the Championship.

I do agree with you. However perhaps he feels if his best players are going to be sold under his nose, then there is not much more he can do there? We will see. Fingers crossed.

My gut feeling is the financial sh*t is about to hit the fan again at Bournemouth - perhaps Howe has been told he has to sell more players and he now thinks he has taken the club as far as it can go with Eddie Mitchell as chairman. So Howe may want to leave before the season turns into a slow puncture and whilst his stock is still high.

I hope so. On a side note has Rhoys Wiggins impressed you this season with him being a Palace youth boy?

They are in a dire financial position. I'm not sure how the chairmen can say they will not sell players...

We're actually on the most stable footing we've been for a number of years. Unless you know something we don't?

Wiggins has been superb. Palace let a gem go - he's another one Howe would want to take with him.

Uh uh. The FL has to ratify any loans/purchases as we went into admin twice in such a short space of time but recently they seem to be ok with us - hence the Smith loan from Spurs

They usually do, but it's just been lifted. They are a club that really deserve a bit of luck and I hope they get it - shortly after Eddie Howe becomes Palace manager.

He's in for the interview. If he is front runner based on his CV it will come down to how Howe and Parish and presumably Martin Long get on.

Steve Parish convinced Speroni of the plan for an improvement of the club and cpfc2010's PL ambitions and Julian signed when many, including me thought he would go. Mr Parish probably has a pretty good pitch.

If Eddie Howe and Parish click and feel like there is a common vision for how success can be achieved it could happen

Howe talking to Southampton who have cash behind them but declining to join shows a shrewd judge as the management at St Mary's does appear to be unpredictable at best with their sacking of Pardew. Also shows great loyalty to his current club which we can all respect.

But Steve Parish is a very straightforward guy as we've seen on these message boards. Finances are limited but sound, funds are available but to be used prudently, the managers job I think will be well paid. I think working with him will appeal to younger talented managers who don't want to be messed around with club and financial politics - just get on with the job of creating winning football teams.

If cpfc2010 feel he is the best guy for the job, offer it and he turns us down then thats the right decision all round. His heart wasn't in it. There is no affinity. He's not the guy for us.

I hope he likes what he hears and feels inspired by whats possible here. From what I've heard over the last couple of days he's a great prospect and it would be a real coup having him as our manager.
