I'm neither for nor against a Monarchy but love 'em or hate 'em, people all around the world love to visit Buckingham Palace etc and have a fascination with our history and historic buildings. If nothing else, the tourism trade brings a lot of money in to the country and I think many countries are envious of our heritage.

Fashion is another thing: Crombie, Aquascutem, Paul Smith, Hackett, although Thomas Burberry's stuff has been hijacked by all the clowns.

Would you rather be known as English or British?

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

Have to disagree Penge. Fake Burberry has been taken over by Clowns. Original Burberry is still very much amongst the top designers.

I disagree again - Burberry baseball caps are the most minging piece of headgear I ever did see!

He served in the same regiment in North Africa during the second world war.

Served alongside my grandad

I'm proud to be English simply because I am, I don't need a reason. It's my country and I love it to bits!

Ah Bexter, thats because the people wearing these 'fake' Burberry caps, are inbred little shrews with wooden teeth, and knuckles that scrape along the floor. Hardly an oil painting. Now if you saw me wearing my Burberry cap then i'm sure your opinion could be changed.

On the catwalks, there's no doubt that it is class but I personally don't opt for it because so many schoolkids are wearing it. My 14-year-old sister has a coat, scarf, bag, umbrella and it's all real! (spoilt brat I know!). Kind of devalues it a bit for my liking!
