Surely the band name taken from many books or films is the "THE" ( still touring ).

Jethro Tull, after the famous inventor of the mechanical seed drill, commemorated in Crowmarsh Gifford near Wallingford in Oxfordshire with a plaque and a small modern cul-de-sac of houses 'Jethro Tull Gardens'.

Apologies old chap, but Klaatu is the humanoid alien not the robot. That's Gort. A great movie, and despite being a fan of traditional sci-fi, I didn't mind the Keanu Reeves re-make.

The band 'Texas' took their name from the movie 'Paris, Texas' because they loved the 'slide guitar' soundtrack by Ry Cooder.

Just heard my Sharona by the knack on the radio, Michael Crawford before Frank Spencer fame was in a film called the knack in the 60’s…….doubt they were named after the film, but you never know

Echo and the Bunnymen's label was taken from the Korova milk bar.

There was also Steppenwolf and Mott the Hoople from book titles.
