I'd be very surprised if Umeh is seen as Mitchell's understudy. First, he looks more like a forward and second he is very raw. The fact we had Sessegnon on trial also suggests left-back/wingback is an area the club are looking at.

I think we won't sign anyone else unless we have a key player injured.

I think the club will try and get another left wingback to compete with Mitchell. Kostic seems like a relatively affordable option and Glasner knows him. I agree that any other moves will likely depend on outgoings, although I do think another forward player would be good.

I agree however the money quoted so far is too high. His current club don't want him and he is over 30 so no sell on value.I think it will run till near end of window and he will arrive either on loan or about 5 million.

I also think the young keeper we have been linked with is possible either if we sell a current player or to buy and loan out to get more first team experience.

The Brazilian winger Wesley is another real possibility for 2 reasons firstly it may help franca having a fellow country man and also he looks like a player who has real potential and sell on value.

Nketiah may not be dead as it looks like arsenal will need to reduce price to sell a figure around 20 million may get him

Makes total sense. Question is, is he good enough cover for Mitchell?.

Both our U21 'keepers have gone out on loan. We are left with Johnstone, Henderson, Mathews & our ex & new U18 'keepers.

Almost certainly not (yet). But you'd hope Jeff could do a job there if needed.

The position on the left is entirely different from a left back, you could play Sarr there in some matches, with 3 CDs 2DMs and a keeper that is 6 defensive players, i think Sarr may well start above Mitchell in certain games, as well as playing CAM.

In his 16 games last year, Munoz won 35 tackles, 102 duels, and completed 76 recoveries and 24 interceptions. Source: the premier league - [Link]

He's that good that you don't even realise the work he gets through, but I think to say Sarr could do the sort of job Mitchell and Munoz are doing is quite disrespectful to the enormous amount of defensive work they get through - even in the easier games of which there aren't many. Sarr has only made 23 tackles in his 50 prem appearances, as a comparison.

See Eze in Euros - even if you are playing wing backs at times they're going to be forced into a genuine left back position.
