Half time and, unsurprisingly, this has been a very assured performance by Palace. 4 good goals. Slight injury scare when Doucoure went down clutching his groin with about one minute left to play, but he carried on so hopefully nothing serious.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Crawley look poor. Apparently only 3 players are in the team that played at Wembley. They look like a team that hasn't played together before.

In reply to Jacey, yes, tbf, they are. Standout player, JRS, Hughes is busy & industrious, got a new corner signal, X'd arms ie hammers. Edouard drops very deep tho, tbf, from that position, great long ball for JRS to latch onto & get his second goal. Riad is, how shall we say, robust. Kamada, imo, hasn't got into the game(yet). Johnstone to my mind is 'nervous as in unsure. Richards & Clyne have linked up on our right. Joa is, Joa. Doucoure playing well but went down off the ball with, what could be a groin strain(hope not). Mass changes 2nd half bout 60mins? Edited by eagleman13 (27 Jul 2024 1.30pm)

I know a lot of people will disagree but aside from taking his goals well I thought JRS looked lightweight and drifted around a bit. Kamada looks really good. One great run and pass and took his goal well. Doucoure has bossed the midfield constantly breaking up play. Crawley gifted us so many chances though.
