I for one really wouldn't be bothered if we lost Mitchell. Ironically ever since he played for England I feel he's never quite been the same player. Defensively he's good. Not very good just good.
Going forward he lacks confidence and ability if I'm honest. If United want to pay a decent fee for him then I certainly wouldn't mind.

He's easily replaceable in my opinion.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I’m thinking exactly the same as you, he did seem to go steadily down hill after his England spell, but there was a massive improvement under glasner once we started with the three at the back and he was getting forward well. With better finishing he could have had a couple more goals as well.

£50m minimum. Taking inflation into account, that would seem a steal alongside AWB

Stuart Pearce on Talk S***t has just said that he was worried going forward unless he had support from a team mate in case the move broke down. For most of his time under Roy and Vieira, Mitchell has not had this back up leaving him exposed when attacking or teams doubling up on him. Zaha was not bothered tracking back (he had a free pass from Roy) and others either did not have the ability or felt he could handle it himself. Hence, in my opinion, the uninformed criticism. Now he has Lerma’s support he has had his best season going forwards ie 2 goals,3 assists. He is already England’s best defensive left fullback and I expect to see him develop his attacking ability under Glasner next season.

Absolutely this. Well said.

This is such a non story. Wasn’t it based on the fact that Mitchell had a year left on his contract and they could get him cheap. When in actual fact he has 3 years left on his contract?

I agree with the above, his contract is up in 12 months time anyway and therefore if we can bag a few shillings for him so much the better!

He’s not Englands best defensive left full back and we play with wing backs under Glasner , not full backs. Miles and miles and miles and miles behind Munoz.
Need an upgrade.
