Being entertained is obviously far more important than having any sort of principle about you. We will see when Tommy Robinson or someone similar falls foul of these nonsense protest laws - I’m sure you’ll get the point then. Regardless of their cause, the state imprisoning people for this length of time for non-violent protest is bad. Different people are entertained by different things. Who are you to judge? My principle is that people should be allowed to go about their daily lives without interference of this extreme nature. They haven't been jailed by the state, they've been jailed by the judiciary which last time I checked was independent from the state. And they haven't been jailed for a simple non-violent protest, they've been jailed for prolonged extreme action impacting thousands of people and costing the economy and the taxpayer millions. Oh and for contempt of court. I've no interest in Tommy Robinson so I don't know why you've raised that non-sequitur. Edited by YT (19 Jul 2024 10.07am)

The law should not pick its response based on whether you like the cause or not. I agree about the ULEZ cameras destruction being criminal damage. Some time ago a motorcycle magazine gave out free stickers that happened to fit the lenses of speed cameras. Not suggesting that is the answer but dustbins and IKEA bags covering the cameras is a better protest option.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Where's WE , finger in the wind deciding which side to be contrarian. The disruption would have been terrible, violence is not any issue in the sentencing for this. Hopefully other unhinged cultists will wind their necks in abit so we don't have to release even more felons early to make room for them
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

She now suffers from PTSD as a consequence. I regard that as psychological violence and there will have been many other victims whose stories haven't been heard.

What bothers me with this is that you see child sex offenders get lesser sentences. In fact, you see plenty of violent crime with lower sentences - or no custodial sentence at all.

I’m not suggesting all non violent crimes are equal - I didn’t think something so painfully obvious would need explaining. So it didn’t affect you then. If you were on the M25 for 6 hours you may feel different.

Just maybe with my lightbulb moment this is a way to start jailing all protesters who overstep the line.
