Football's Coming Home It was quite clever when originally coined in 1996, given the double-meaning in the song, but now it's just a moronic chant for band-wagon jumpers who see no irony in the fact that every time it's been sung in the past, football didn't actually 'come home' because England did blow it again or throw it again or whatever the song said. Even worse: Footballs Coming Home.

I know I’ve put this on here before somewhere, but I’ll do it again, it seems to fit in with this thread. Double Pivot Oh do fcuk off, it’s a simple game, you just have to put the ball in the white thing with the net hanging on it

Off topic but Alan Smith described one player as having "feet like paintbrushes" presumably he meant it as a comment on his artistry but it just sounds very uncomfortable.

The list goes on I think out of all of them, it’s the ‘false nine’ that bugs me the most, what the fook is a false nine?? As an ex Sunday league player, a false nine sounds like if I get close enough marking their centre forward I could peel the number 9 off the back of his shirt

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
