We're strongly linked with two other players that Glasner has worked with.
It may be agent talk, or people putting 2 and 2 together because of past associations, but I get the firm impression that Glasner is having more of a say on transfer dealings than recent managers.

During his time as manager in Austria for Ried and LASK he was also in duty for transfers. It was roumored/reported that at Wolfsburg and Frankfurt problems occurred because he was less involved in transfer matters as he would have liked. Think he may have learned his lessons in terms of that transfer matters are handled a little bit different at bigger clubs than at his first destinations of his managerial career in Austria.

I think he's earned the right to specify the players he needs for his system. Especially if he is losing key players. It's not a formation Palace have played before.

This is despite the fact he managed to get great performances out of what he had available to fit the system. Clyne and Hughes!

If he has contacts and players keen to rejoin him from Europe that is great.

Kamada looks fantastic. And on a free.

Just seen my German pal. Bayern fan. Reckons Kamada is a very good player.

I watched him play for Sagan Tosu a few times nearly a decade ago & sent a report in to the club suggesting he would be a great signing; no reply though awesome to see him sign now. He is a top player with lots of experience under his belt since then. Wonderful free transfer.

Great to hear, I am under the impression that this is an excellent acquisition by the club (or maybe just OG)!

I think labelling him as 'Olise's replacement' (as myself and others have opined) possibly takes away from his arrival, albeit there may be some accuracy in that.

Good stuff.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Not to mention the commercial gains from this signing. Expect to see more Japanese fans in the ground.

I think this will be a good signing for the reason you mention. When I was in Japan recently I saw quite a few wearing Celtic shirts thanks to Celtic's Japanese players.

Genuine question. Are you a scout or some kind of modern advisor, or are you just a decent Palace fan?
Either way, it worked!!

Have I missed it, but where is he? Seeme a hell of a time for him to show his face in South London and training has now started???? Is he involved, like others, in a tournament somewhere?
