I am delighted to report that I am fine and dandy but owing to the advancement of years I would not admit to being in peppy form with more bounce than seen on a Baywatch beach sprint!

I am still able to lubricate my larynx, accordingly a rigid observance of teetotalism is never on the agenda ! Thankfully I have not reached the stage where I mutter away like an ancient, addlepated wino.
Thank you once again.

Finally I give my best wishes to all those on HOL with whom I have communicated with over the years and bored all and sundry as an ‘Elijah of Doom’ ! I have often suspected that the multitudes concluded I was a cast-iron, chateau bottled yawn !

My Kind regards to you all.I have been privileged to have been in such esteemed company. In terms of HOL and our club,Onwards and upwards. Adios.

Very glad to hear you are full of life and well. May you continue to be fine and dandy.

Glad you are well Willo and hope to see you report for pre-season training over the next few weeks.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

High-pitched chortles in 'Chez Willo'

My "Pre-season training" shall consist of several visits to a Public House but I shall not reach a state of advanced refreshment to the extent that I tumble akin to a Gloucestershire cheese chaser.

Apropos the forthcoming season, I am looking forward to it immensely, whilst not permitting my emotions to get carried away on a sea of rampant optimism whereby expectations are somewhat unrealistic.

I was thinking Willo was just avoiding the silly season on here, although you’d have to give it a miss from January to December to do that, not just June

All the best Willo!!

Mirrors my stance.

If you do enter any Gloucestershire-based extracurricular activity or competitions, I'll stick a fiver on you as a show of support.

I am gratified by your show of support, however my physical exertions are confined to the dim and distant past and I am now reduced to resembling an armadillo grinding across hazardous terrain.

Returning to the forthcoming season (Far more interesting than Willo !), we certainly have the ingredients but this does not mean the souffle will rise.
Nonetheless, supporters have been buoyed by our splendid end to the last campaign in terms of results and performances and the 'Direction of travel' is encouraging. It really was manna from heaven.

Finally, in response to a comment from another HOL member, I can categorically assert that 'Dazza' and 'Yours Truly' are NOT one and the same person.

I was only saying to my mrs last week, Willow seems to be a popular child’s name these days, although I’m not sure it would be any good for our Willo’s offspring, Willow Willo would be just plain silly

Willo old chap, jolly pleased to learn that you're fine and dandy down there on the south coast.

We all miss your eloquent posts and I, for one, hope to see an occasional input from you. Maybe a pessimistic forecast ahead of our first match of the season for instance?

Stay fit and well, POG.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

My goodness me.

Those dastardly 'Willo threads' really were a blot on the HOL landscape with gladiatorial hostility and lacerating attacks very much in evidence.HOL is far 'Richer' for their absence.

You are so kind. Thank you very much.

I have to admit that you were in my thoughts when I drove through your 'Neck of the woods' a couple of weeks ago.I did mention to my dear wife that an esteemed member of HOL was resident in this delightful location.

Finally, perhaps this doomster and gloomster might surprise all and sundry if I veer down the alley of making a forecast prior to the opening game ! At present I am 'of good cheer' apropos our prospects - perhaps it is the medication !
