Do you know, I started this and then bottled it. Of the likely starting 11, only Mitchell can be left out. And I bet he plays an absolute blinder next season!

The one reservation I have is that, with the squad on the up, where is the room for academy graduates?

Agree with all that, including the sentiment and therefore prediction for Mitchell.

As for academy graduates, I would encourage them to strive for fitting Glasner's system as opposed to shining individually. Bit of an odd thought however I do wonder if within Glasner's approach, where the team is collectively more valuable than the individual, we may well become the kind of club that sells players upwards who then do not shine elsewhere as they might have done under Glasner? Just a thought...

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I'd say in the short term there isn't. Get the best ones out on loan, if they can shine in the Championship at 18/19 they might be good enough.

1. Wharton
2. Eze
3. Olise
4. Mateta
5. Anderson

In my humble opinion as good as Eze, Olise, Mateta are it is Wharton as number one for me as those three all require a supply an initial line.
Wharton sees forward passes that others don't and many of the goals we scored at the latter part of the season came his initial forward pass.

Really, decent players that they are, i don't see them getting in the 11, the problem is if Wharton and Doucoure gel together, my opinion only

Shades of Brian Clough and Gary Birtles et al. moving on into mediocrity and ultimately oblivion?

Much as everyone loves huuuuuughes, he certainly grew on me late on last season, he won’t even be in the team if everyone’s fit……and not sold

I wonder if this may apply to Olise and Eze? Fantastic together and under OG... but singular and under a different system?

I 100% agree with this. Eze and Olise are Great players together, apart I think there is a significant drop. One compliments the other, especially Eze who looks world class when playing with Olise. No idea why, possibly one makes more space for the other. Long may it continue I say.

Every good team has a solid spine.
Anderson ( captain in all but name and controls the back 3)
Doucoure ( assuming he comes back the same player)
Wharton ( the reason Eze and Olise can shine)
JP ( wouldn’t swap him for any other CF in the Pl - OK maybe Haaland!)
Munoz ( a big part of why JP is thriving)
If I’m allowed a 6th , probably Henderson ( provided he grows a pair and learns to take charge of his 6 yard box)
