The same article that mentioned the ‘secret’ meeting also suggested ManUre are willing to sell the majority of their players to fund purchases such as Guehi/Olise/Eze. Given how s***e they currently are my questions would be: 1) Who can afford the transfer fees for their over priced players? Even Man Ure with their huge income are not immune to financial prudence and if they have to buy out or shore up contracts to offload as well as paying a massive cash amount to Palace then in my opinion, it all adds up to a load of bull, but I hope I’m not proved wrong.

Careful, this is all a bit likely. The meeja have already sold half the squad.

What another twisted story. Just 2 friends meeting up spending an evening together. The vultures are trying everything to upset the apple cart. There are new kids on the block and anyone associated with the big boys don’t like it one little bit.

They live near each other and are friends. Why would Alex Ferguson be negotiating signings? Non story.

United don't have that sort of money. They have sell before they can spend that sort of money.

So it's a meeting between someone who isn't responsible for selling players and someone who isn't responsible for buying players. You have to admit, looks kind of fishy

It's not like he's talent spotting some unknown player we are way beyond that. If United are interested we are at the "show me the money" stage and if I remember correctly Sir Alex wasn't involved in that part of the deal when he was manager. A meeting between Dougie and Sir Jim Radcliffe would have made more sense if it was about players.

Someone took a picture of two mates who used to live on the same street leaving a restaurant together. SAF doesn't do Man Utd's transfers, given that they just hired Dan Ashworth to take over all of those responsibilities. Load of rubbish this story.

If it was a 'secret meeting' where are the specs and false noses? Why did they leave together through the front door? Most 'sport journos' these days just sit and think of controversial headlines then invent a weak story to fill the space under the headline. If the editors had any pride in their profession these bits of fluff wouldn't see the light of day.
