I used to play cricket against Downham and Bellingham CC. Footballers Steve Gritt and Colin 'Paddy' Powell played for them.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

I know it's just click-bait, but, Sunderland want JRS on loan & we, allegedly, want Bellingham. So, could a deal be done in our favour . . . [Link] They can have Ozoh as well if that helps sweeten the deal

As much as I love Eze and dislike Southgate that aint gonna happen unless Bellingham is injured. He's just had a stormer of a season For Madrid after a great season in Germany and to be fair has played well for England. Agreed. Just what i said to my pal.

Mixed comments about Bellingham on the Sunderland fans forum but overall fairly positive. If this link works it will give a flavour of what they think of him, particularly compared to Wharton.

I don't think he has hte footballing brain that Wharton has, but suspect they could compliment each other really well

Very measured and respectful comments from the Mackems. Liked their comment about why Dougie turned down "the Mags". The question: does Jobe appear good because Sunderland were compelled to play him at too young an age because of missing regulars, but he did not look out of place; or is he actually that good for his age and we see the potential? I highlighted that word because, as well as our club having a good eye for Champ talent, we are not alone. Brentford (who also have a proven very good eye) and now Spurs are also sniffing around. We can't all be wrong. One thing. I doubt we will pay £20m + for an U21 / bench sitter / cup games squad filler. He will play. But who will not? Edited by silvertop (04 Jun 2024 10.01am)

If I was Bellingham Palace and Brentford would be a better fit.
