Ireland loved Mussolini. They did not like Hitler. It's revisionism at its finest - once again. Look up Mussolini in the Irish papers. My friend is Ireland's leading Mussolini historian and keeps on having his stuff nicked by the trendy historians.

Their elite disliked the English/British more.

Many Irish fought for the British, due to historical connections to the British army. Most of them suffered socially on returning to Ireland.

Famously the political position of Ireland was of neutrality. It should be noted that the Irish Tánaiste de Valera called on the German Minister, Eduard Hempel, ‘to offer condolences’ on Hitler's death.

Both anti immigration politicians.....within a global system dedicated to immigration into Europe. Some people could be forgiven for at least developing suspicions....maybe, maybe not.

Cintula weaves a strange web, he dislikes the Soviet union and has a real dislike for Roma Gypsies (not uncommon here) however he wants much deeper integration with the EU, he has links to a Slovak Paramilitary group (best example I can think of would be Sinn Fein/IRA) in turn this Paramilitary has links to a similar group in Russia so in effect maybe some Russian interference but not in the way the mainstream media would love to broadcast it so an ideologically left wing pro Slovak nationalist?

Biggest Irony of all is his written literature is mostly about peace and anti violence.

Its worrying just how radicalized the left are becoming across the entirety of the west, Governments need to stop looking for right wing boogie men & tackle the real problem however I am of the opinion this is all engineered from the likes of the EU,UN,WEF etc.

How many leaders and prominent activists have really been killed by lone fanatics?
I would say next to none. In my opinion, they are almost always set up or programmed by a third party.

People will keep shouting conspiracy theory and the perpetrators will keep getting away with it.

This is an interesting counterargument to the above. One that suggests that this idea is itself part of a conspiracy theory emerging from radicalisation. Indeed it adds light and context to many of the opinions and attitudes which are routinely found in these pages:-

There are books by ex CIA which make it quite clear that these suspicions aren't without merit.

Where was “the right” mentioned in the comment?

Perhaps someone has found a cap that fits and, not for the first time, is reacting with a deflective knee jerk.

Don't be silly, you have already stated that you consider yourself a one man army against the views expressed on the site, which you consider to be right wing.

At least own your narcissistic obsessions if you are going to bore us with them.

On topic. I believe there is every reason to believe that most assassinations of this nature are the work of national security agencies.
Lee Harvey Oswald should be the poster boy for assassinating someone in plain sight and using a patsy to distract from the overwhelming evidence of conspiracy.

If he were from the Southwest of England he could have been a Cornish patsy.

All true - the Mussolini and Hitler thing is much simpler. It's that obviously priests/bishops/the church told people to like Mussolini as he gave the Catholic Church the Vatican and came to an agreement with them about society and education. The Lateran treaties and The Concordat. Hitler actively discouraged the Roman Catholic Church and, if my memory is correct, asked that all churches in Germany display the Swastika - which was rarely complied to by the Roman Catholic clergy. Although, unfortunately there were Irish priests who endorsed Hitler as he, obviously, persecuted Jews - which was a relatively popular policy in Ireland. Although, to counter that, there were Irish priests who actively helped Jews escape. There were also Irish priests who helped Nazis escape. The Vatican passport was a popular item for fleeing Nazi war criminals. So where I said simple - I've now realised it's not.

He's certainly old enough to have been at the grassy knoll.

Then again he's old enough to have fought with King Arthur....then again considering his views he'd be fighting for the invaders.

I don’t consider the site to be right wing at all. However, it is obvious that this part of it is dominated by a cabal of regular posters who hold similar right wing views. That is surely beyond dispute? How I consider myself is my business but it’s neither relevant nor an army.

I posted an interesting counterpoint to that expressed. Which ought, in my opinion, provide food for thought because it highlights the growth of the scourge of conspiracy theories and explains why that is. Something that these pages themselves provide support for.

As is demonstrated by the above. The conspiracy theory that Lee Harvey Oswald was set up by the CIA is just more evidence of that scourge. It might be popular and widely believed but it remains nonetheless a conspiracy theory.

If that isn’t a good reason for reflection, rather than knee jerk reactions, I don’t know what is.
