This was the event which had her demanding Johnson had to go. Am not expecting her to do as she preaches though.

This type of thing will not stop Labour winning the most seats in the election but might just mean a few slip by them

All is now Hong Kong Phooey.NO case to answer as usual trumped up chsrges.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

The whole case revolved around whether Raynor's property was her main residence. If the answer to that was no then all the other stuff kicks in.

But how do you prove it wasn't her main residence?

The unnamed neighbours claim she was never there but that is not proof. Who knows Raynor may have come home late at night so they didn't see her.

How many times a month do you have to stay at a place to call it your main home?

My point is that it must be difficult for the police to prove that she didn't live there, what is the bench mark for that?

So they may suspect but suspicion is not proof and until they have that all the other issues then go away.

Meanwhile no one trusts the Tories, Labour surges to a 27 point lead in the polls, whilst Tory M.P.'s defect and refuse to stand at the election at a record rate.

Agree,a landslide Labour victory is inevitable as many are sick to death of Tory petty infighting and failings.
Will it be any better under Labour with Flip flop unable to walk in a straight line and devious Rayner, at the helm??

the issue is slightly more complicated as she got married whilst owning the property.
Married couples who own more than one house can only select one house as their main residence and this must be the same for both of them.
So her 'error' was not declaring her husband's home as their main residence when she sold. However, this would only cover the years when she was married reducing the capital gains due.
However, owners are allowed to deduct the cost of home improvements from any CGT due and Rayner spent a lot converting the home to accommodate her disabled child.
Therefore, these costs would have come off of any 'gain' and eliminating any potential CGT liability.
That was almost certainly the tax advice see was given.

It was always a non story.
